We are a happy family

As I sit to write this post Noah is dancing, jumping in the living room @ the sound of the Fresh Beat Band. Both boys have so much energy - which IS a good thing, no doubt a blessing but man! That is a LOT of energy and I wish I could just keep up with them! We have so much fun together!

This weekend we had some great quality family time. Besides a little something here and there I'm just so happy and satisfied with life! =)

The boys - I mean - cracking me up 24/7!!! They are such good buddies and playing together all the time and really working hard on being nice (Weeellll - Ben is! I can't say the same thing about Noah)
Here is some funny ones from Noah this week:

1. Noah is sitting here right next to me - Benjamin falls down and Noah says:
"Are you ok son?"

Me: BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

A day later...
Noah was playing w/ balls, pretending they were little guys...
He had one in each hand, pretending they were walking around on the table & talking to each other, I wasn't really paying much attention on what the  conversation was all about until I heard he say:
"Don't worry, just relax and keep walking and enjoy my company baby" ?!??!!?

Me: BWAHAHAHAHAHA again! LOL

___________

We laugh so hard until we cry everyday! If its not one thing it's another!!! LOL

Our family is just a happy family!!!

but on another note I must say that I got some major mental problems that I need to take care of it!
Why is it on the happiest days that I miss my dad the most?
I mean - I miss him no matter what - everyday I think about him, everyday I miss him and I wish I could call him and hear his voice. But days that I'm happy and good things happen - you would figure I would be distracted or so happy I would not think about him but those are the days... those are the days that I hurt the most.... The days the pain is unbearable...

Finally back

Each day life goes a little back to “normal”. We are getting more used to having Noah around (Did we ever not have him?) and slowly we are getting to know how our new routine is going to be. I have lots of other thinks “more important” to do than post here but somehow this relaxes me… So I’ll take the time to do it since I got a few minutes!

I have so much to catch on, it will take me a few days to get there and I’ll post here as I remember. I want to start thanking everyone for all the help! (Believe me or not, this past Sunday was the first time we cooked dinner, since the baby was born we have had kind friends who brought us meals or came over and cooked for us) Tati, Beth Ann (woman, you are awesome!), Connie, Jessica, Dani, Shannon, Priscilla, Amy, Frances, Cindy, Mae, Lisa (if I forgot your name, PLEASE bare with me, It doesn’t mean what you did wasn’t appreciated is just that I’m still running slow) - THANKS!

A few things I can think of at this time:

* I pumped – Dan offered for me to go take a longer nap – I fed him, then he would feed the baby my milk in a bottle (I could really use a 4 hour nap!) and he would wake me up for the feeding after that. Guess what? Noah did NOT take a bottle! Dan tried 3 diferent nipples and NOTHING! We won’t take a pacifier and he won’t take a bottle as either! I’m *SO* tired! I need to sleep a little!!!!

* Benji is doing so much better with Noah, the thing is now he wants to hold him all the time – problem is he is not very delicate (not that I expected a 18 mo. old to be) but… ya know!

The other day he made it *very* clear for everyone to hear “Maaaaamy,I want food!” He is talking more each day. Quite funny! I’m trying to get my camera out as much as I can.

* Elan came over to visit for 4 days, if flew by. Benji really enjoys his company!

We got a pass to the Children’s museum and went over there last Saturday, the 4 of us, Mike & Kristy (very nice girl – perky perky) and Elan. I don’t think Benji enjoyed as much I thought he would – but again he was having a horrible day!

* Dan hasn’t missed any Bengals game yet. I’m glad I got the season tickets this year even thou we had decided we wouldn’t do it, they have a nice groups for the past few years and he enjoys it so much. The Bengals won the past game again, CP played very well after surgery. They are doing pretty good. Preseason is over; it’ll get more interesting now! I hate Chad Johnson’s new hair! =oP

* Jessica came over this week for the day – those days are much easier as Benji settles with her around. He needs less attention from me when she is around. Last night I went out by myself for the first time and took Benji. It was awesome to spend some quality time with him. I really need to remember that, we need our time. Benji & mommy.

My 1st father's day without my daddy

We got Dan a Guitar for father's day... he being wanting one for a while and we being talking about it too but he really wan't thinking I would do it without him with me (Thanks Mike for your help!) So he was SO happy! Also last Friday he went to see PHISH in IN, also gave his soul a smile! =)))
Happy father's day Dan! You are a great dad and awesome husband - all the way!

We had so much fun playing Wii on father's day - It's being a hard day - lots of cry! But overall I must thank God for my very good and dear friends!
They were all very concerned. many called, invited me to do things.
It was a good day, but I didn't think or feel any more about da then I would on a regular day.
I danced for quite a few hours - and that is something dad did all the time...
He would enter the room dancing - get home from work, leave his car and dance...
So dad... I danced for you!

An interesting day – I must make a record of it!

It started very turbulent with very disrespectful boys and naughty attitude. I sure did chose how the day was gonna turn out – and made sure to let them know they must go along with me so this could work for us.

WE were expecting the 365Portrait to come and they never showed up! Great! And only called on the last minute to let us know! =oP

Haley came about 10; Benji had a good time... they ate lunch incredibly well. Tati came for a few hours, with Thomas while Monica was at camp and we had a great time – relaxing and chatting our elbows off.

To top it off – after an awesome dinner dad cooked we headed to KI "just for 1 hour" (I really wanted the boys in bed by 8pm. But it ended up being a "get it all" trip to Ki with all the fixings! Funnel cake & Dippin' Dots ice cream (1st time the boys had both) and a second dinner (not that we needed it – lol) and a funny "80's show – live!" that it was actually very good.

We got to ride at least 4 rides the kids haven't done before, it was very nice! We even got to ride all of us together in the same seat for a few of them.

Noah who does *great* with using the potty at home had 2 accidents at KI this evening (luckily I had 2 extras sets of undies and shorts)

So of course – got home an had a bath – put away the 4 – yes 4 loads of laundry I have done today and I'm about to o to bed and have no dirty dishes! What a day! =)

,

Funny Stuff:

1 We actually got to ride a couple of rides on the "other side" of KI – It's so cool the boys are getting tall enough so we can enjoy some new rides together!

2. Benjamin – after he brushed his teeth said " Mom, you know what? I forgot to "sloss" my teeth! (Yes – he did mean Floss)

3. It was the first time I ever saw a child fall asleep while you are taking them out of the bath! Literally!!! I got the towel around him, he was laughing AWAKE while we were talking about the whole "sloosing the teeth thing" – got to the bedroom, just next door to the bathroom, went to dry him and WHAT? He is asleep!

4. At Ki – I saw a Chipmunk steeling food from a guy's hand! Is family didn't see – they were just sitting next to him, the only ones that saw I think it was me and him – it was HILARIOUS!

There were a couple more things that were so funny too but of course – I'm brain dead right now and can't remember!

Good night you all! =))

Highlights of the day! =)

We had a tornado watch today - we did go to the basement for about 30 minutes. Damage was reported as close as Loveland. But everyone/everything seems to be ok.

Benji went Rock climbind for Isaac's birthday (it was so great - Benji has being asking to do it for a long time now)

I got a pedicure! =)

What would you do???

If you had a little extra money hanguing on your budget for "family fun":

A. Get a Wii
B. Get Kings Island Season Passes - Wii can wait until next x-mas
C. None - I have a better idea...
D. Keep on saving for a nice vacation

We are back home.

Our flight left Sao Paulo late, and you won’t believe why! Two men, seating side by side at the economic class got into a fight, a cold and bloody fight because their arms were touching each other. =oO
All we saw were flight attendants running, blood, the captain, people – ohh, the craziest thing I have ever seen!
I’m still pretty shocked with how that man reacted and how some people just have such a short fuse like that…
I’m also very thankful that he wasn’t seating next to us.

That got us in Atlanta one hour later than expected and our 2 hours lay over now was just less then 1, we hurried like crazy to get to our gate. They were just booking us to the next flight when we got there – and did let us go in. Of course our luggage didn’t make to Columbus on that flight….

Once in Clmbs Dan noticed he had lost his wallet, all I had on me was 5 bucks and a credit card with 20 bucks of credit. For a little while I was very nervous and angry trying to figure it out how we were gonna get back home. Thank God I knew my debit card number by heart and the people in the parking garage were able to charge us with that and we had just enough gas to get home.

At home – we had the biggest and coolest surprise EVER. Dani & Tati had got us a box of donuts, beautiful flowers (I oolove love fresh flowers), balloons and they went GROCERY shopping for us!! Can you believe it? They got us milk, bread, a bunch of goodies, an awesome delicious rotisserie chicken and a take & bake pizza! It was so nice to get home and have something… specially since we had no $, cards or checks we couldn’t stop anywhere in the way home! =)
What a blessing! They were so guided by the Lord when they did that! =)

Our luggage didn’t get here until 3 am that nite, we were so tired – and just not long ago when I was looking thru the cabers to find something for dinner when Lina showed up with this awesome Spice Macaroni Casserole!!! How fun and special were those surprises!!! =))
Thanks so much girls!!! God bless you!

-Oh, and as for Dan’s wallet – we haven’t found or located yet, I sure believe it was stolen somewhere during the 5 hours we stayed with my family in Sao Paulo on the airport waiting for our next flight. The cards were canceled – we can get the same exact wallet for $20, it’s just sad cause we lost a couple of hundred dollars. =(

The Gs at Caiobá beach

We went to the beach this weekend and overall it was great! The boys absolutely loved – Benji had a blast, Noah was not so sure at first but of course after all he wasn’t happy to leave. We were so lucky to get the greatest weather (maybe even a little too much sun for Dan & I). I can say everything was perfect and the boys will sure have the best memories of their first time at the beach.
The waves were a little too strong in my opinion – I felt down twice and busted out the biggest laugh ever!!! The ocean is awesome – the most amazing place ever! But to be honest I’m happier at the pool (at least when it comes to going with my kids) – The biggest sand box in the world it’s NOT a happy place for me (again – at least not with small kids) I can’t understand today how my parents ever did with me and my sister, little - for the whole summer or weeks at the time at the beach.
Salt – Sand – Sun isn’t a good combination to me at this time of my life.
I’m SUCH a pool person! LOL (Funny how things can change easily) And I sure was a bitch at the beach (not to my family – but to everyone else who helped to make my life harder)
Well-I must get it out of my chest – that people that doesn’t have kids should never make plans for people that does. Also – if someone wants to do something nice for you – first this person should make sure you want that! Don’t tell someone to “make yourself home” when you are imposing 600 rules and you want people to do things your way – at your time! Grrrr!
Phewwww! I sure feel much better….
But going back to talking about the good parts of it – I must say Benji made the coolest friend; Luigi, and his mom was very cool too. Also - as usual Kadu, Guga &Claudia were so helpful with the kids. Kadu I must say it’s a pretty cool friend. =)
I’m sure Caco got the coolest pics but these are the only ones I have on my camera to share right now:

* Dan & I

* Noah bird

* Noah bird again - always with his sunglasses

* Benji & my dad having all kinds of fun

* Caiobá

Benji's dream + some odds-n-ends

Somehow I have being able to use this computer for the past couple of hours! I did catch up with my e-mails, bills, chat with Dan on Skype and still have “computer time” + “kids happy playing without mama” time.
Dan left a few days ago and incredibly things haven’t being as hard as I imagined! Noah is very upset, starts crying out of the blue, runs to the phone and asks to call dad, but still not even close as hard as I expected (so far…! - I better not bribe yet because everything on this trip has being harder than ever!)

But still Noah is pretty happy most of the time. Benjamin is all good! He does talk about dad but can cope with it much better then N! He is happy and pleased with all the space he has to play here and all the attention too.

Today Dan called and Benji cracked me up asking things like “Hi dad, is cold there? Is it snowing?” “Are you home?” I was very impressed how he was able to process a lot of what it’s going on. He also described one of his dreams equally to me, Dan & Tia C with details at different occasions.

Benji’s dream 12/10: He was at a new school playing hockey with his friend Isaac. They played a lot and then they had breakfast and they both eat green eggs.
Curious, hu? I wonder if it was really a dream of something he thought about it in his head. Some things we may never know!

We made it!!! =D

We made it!!! =D

And we were up to a rough start! Man…. quite a few times I didn’t think it was gonna end!

Our flight was not bad at all… a 2 hour drive to Columbus, Elan was with us – we all had lunch together and there we got a plane to NY; about 1.5 hours – not bad. A layover of 3 or so hours – not so bad either…
The kids did great in the plane, never bothered by the lack of TV or toys! Everything was great until close to landing Noah barfed!
That was a start… he did it again once or twice! No big deal. We were very worried because in our plane there was another 3 or 4 adults sick. The flight attendants were wondering if it was the food – but Noah never had anything at the plane, we fed him dinner at the airport and he slept most of the time.

Next day, already in Sao Paulo at my aunt’s house Benji feels sick… Barfing all over the place – probably like 20 times that afternoon. We got a Dr.`s name from Si and got him cared for – by that time he had strong diarrhea too.
Long story short Benjamin was at the Hospital overnight on IV and medication.

Thank God he is much better now, we were even able to attend the wedding that it was one of the main reasons we came here for!
It was just so hard to see him going thru all that. And he was such a brave little man! Never cried to get the IV in and out… took all his medicines with no problem! Very strong. He broke my heart many times saying things like “Mama, I throw up again – I knew I could not have eaten those crackers” - or – “I’m never eating and drinking again”
WOW – How awful it was! But it’s DONE! “sort of “ the Dr. said this was a virus that takes 3 to 7 days to incubate, and we all suspect that is was the same bug Elan had (he felt just like that after Thanksgiving) – soooo, guess what? My grandma has it now – and I’m so sad for her – she is suffering! We do pray that she feels better soon and that NO ONE gets it. We sure did have enough.
Because of all this our adaptation time has totally doubled or tripled. We are now going to Curitiba ASAP and our planes have changed.

It’s all good, we hope for the best but sure I’m trying to be ready for it all!

I’m wondering if we are any close to have fun on this vacation. My dad is not doing as well as I hoped for and the level of stress is high – for everyone! Dan & I – My parents and extended family. This is sad but I’m ready to go back home. I hope to write again soon – with much better news!
Please keep us in your prayers!!! We sure can use many! -LOL

** Much love!* *

Summer 03 in a few

Some other random stuff we did this summer – or like we say in Brazil: “nothing to do with another stuff”

Of course now I can’t think of the important stuff on the top of my head - only some very random things…
blah! Anyways:

* Andy took us to this amazing Chinese food place very close to out house that has very good food for not a lot of money! =oP I wish I never known about that restaurant! =)
Also this last week we met Gio! Andy’s bf from NY.

* This summer we had a great time at Grandma Frances house! With the tire swing, the garden, lots of veggies to plant and to pick! Steve built a nice sand box to the kids…

Grandma had a bad car accident about 2 months ago. So she wasn’t doing great already, now she is definitely suffering! Since this happened we only being able to see her 2 or 3 times. =(

* Benji had a ton of Sleepovers… both ways, he spent the night at friends houses and had friends spent the night at our! I’m not sure why (– because at our house the routine doesn’t change because we have guests overnight) but he just LOVES sleepovers!

*We are not leaving for another 3 months but we already got out tickets to Brasil!!!!

* Benji started pre-school.

* Both boys are not afraid of water (pool) they will now dive, and have head under water without any problem! Yay!

* We had the nicest time on Labor day on a picnic at a local park, after a Brazilian style bbq we went out to walk on the creek, played in the water and freebie and kids had a blast!

* Daia got married and our very good friend Perry got baptized (Both USA) and we had one new baby in Brasil, Joao Victor!

* We had an awful windy day (because of hurricane IKE) it left a lot of people without power (we didn’t – thank Jesus!) and a lot of damage! Benji didn’t have school for a whole week and most of our activities were canceled!

* We being to our Community Center at least 4x/wk. The boys LOVE that place. Very different from the YMCA – close to where we used to leave. They cried every time we went in there… Here they cry to leave! They bag me to go there… I guess I’m just gonna have to start working out eventually! I sure can say I love dropping them off at child watch and having 2 hours to make phone calls and read in peace! **deep breath** =D

* Blah – more later – it’s 3 am I’m going to bed!!!! Peace!

Grab a drink, seat back because this will be a long one!

PART 1

WOW! I can’t believe it it’s over! We moved and we are finally settled down! No more boxes, no more mess!

The only 2 things it’s left to do its finish hanging our picture frames and one more run to IKEA for a dinning table set.

IKEA rocks! They have everything and cheap! I know that store top to bottom, let me tell ya! =) We are so much closer now; I think this past month I was there every other day. Lol

The new house settled down so well. I was so down and negative at first, didn’t want to leave Lebanon at all but I’m LOVING here. It’s amazing the transformations… all of them. How God changed my heart towards this new house, the transformation we (Dan & I) did in this place: painted all rooms including bathrooms and basement, the new bath sinks and the whole new ½ bath including the new flooring, the chair rail on the laundry room. And how it transformed it into “our” house when we actually moved our furniture in here.

It’s funny how most of our furniture looks better here, it feels like they “belong” more here then on the other house… they fit better!
The boy’s room it’s so spacious and the bunk bed works much better now… we actually have 4 bedrooms now too!
So, still there’s much we want to do here, of course, I want curtains, and rugs and new kitchen cabinets… but it all takes time AND money… but “slow and steady wins the race” and with time we’ll get there!
The neighbors are all very sweet and I feel like we are in the middle of life again! It’s like in Brasil, people walking outside, we can walk to the stores, we can walk to the pool and the schools (actually we haven’t – yet) and it’s busy and noise and ALIVE! =)

I can’t thank enough my Brazilian friend Nilma from Ky, She has 4 kids and her oldest girl is 19, Luciane. She came and stayed with me for almost the whole month of July. She was with us during packing, moving and unpacking, she pretty much watched the boy for me everyday while I was coming over here to work and move little things here and there and after the move she was there for it all. I can’t thank her enough. She helped with the boys daily, and moving furniture around until I was happy (lol) and when you though she was upstairs resting she was washing the bathrooms, vacuuming… never stopped! We also had lots of fun together! All resting time we watched a bunch of movies, her boyfriend came to visit from NY and spent 3 days with us, we went to KI, roller-skating for Lane’s birthday (and guess what – I still got it!!!), we visited the CCM and went shopping a few times. I can’t describe what a blessing it was to have her with us!

Lu became a part of the family fast, and I understand how awesome it’s to have an au pair living in with you! Man it makes life so much easier… and that makes us even more excited and anxious for Carol’s arrival in September! She should leave Brasil Sep. 1 and be here on the second; as of right now she will be with us for 6 months.

Well… going back a little this past few months…

Benji missed the old house for maybe a week, until he made friends with Julio, this 5 yr old boy that is just as crazy about trains as he is (maybe even a little more). I think since we moved they have got together at least every other day.

Benji & Noah also love the MCC (they never really connected at the YMCA), here at the new center they LOVE the pool, playroom AND *believe me or not* CRIE to leave the child watch.

Grandpa Elan came in town to visit for a couple weeks (he usually comes around Ben's and Noah's birthdays)

I have a LOAD of pictures to post!!! Not a minute to spare and sit on the computer, load them up & post…. Hopefully soon! =)

Part 2 will come soon - I need to leave real fast now... SORRY!

IKEA - I finally did!

And I’m still buzzed! Angela and I were there for about 6 hours yesterday! Yes you read it right, 6 hours! Yes with both kids, Yes, you read id right, with both kids! =)

Believe me or not I did not spend a lot of money at all!!!! I got a $9 tent for the boys to play (because they being using our real gigantic camping tent) and some good size plastic spoons for cereal for like $1,99.

But I was able to pick the new dinning room set to the new house (since we don’t have a eat in kitchen now and really – our dinning table, it’s time to go!)

I was fascinated with it all! Imagine, there was a train table there so the boys were also fascinated! =oP

Angela called and invited us, I was kind of if-if because of going with both kids, but I’m glad I did! We got there around 10am, around noon we had lunch and walked some more until about 4:30pm, the child care think was always fun but I cannot tell you how GREAT my kids behaved! (With a little few too mane bathroom stops, but still!)
____ * ____
A little catch uo post here:
Some things I can remember from the past few days:

* Kentucky was awesome! Getting together with my sisters from CCB gives me such a good energy; they are so awesome, just like a big family, so loving! The driving was smooth and kids were awesome!

* Benji got a game Cube from daddy (did I mention that yet?) and just one game so far – a “Finding Nemo” game. Dan got a Wii, with the moving we haven’t even got out of the package…. But eventually he’ll get to it!

* Claudio – a distant “uncle” from Brasil passed away from lung cancer this past Money. He was diagnosed just a few weeks after my dad, so my dad is a mess. Very upset and depressed about! I pray for the Lord that he will come to understand that he is pretty healthy right now and that the Lord has being keeping him healthy around for a reason, it’s got to be hard to keep it positive when you have the disease but God has the power to heal for complete and he needs to have faith! We are here today with no cancer and just may not be here tomorrow… this doesn’t being anything. Ykwim?

* Dan was so sick the night from Monday to Tuesday (we both were) barfing all night long and I had “the runs” (Dan didn’t) so he ended up working from home. So it was cool because he had chance to take Noah to MRDD/Help Me Grow and see what we do there and how much fun Noah has while learning sign language/ and having the speech therapy. That was so cool!

* I have a nasty migraine today ;oPPPP

* I worked on our yard this past weed for a full day, pulled out 90% of our weeds by the roots (They were nasty) and still spray something for them) – It’s Wednesday and I’m still *SO* sore! Lol – (Priscilla – I’m really trying to leave this place the past way possible!!! – Next week I’m gonna work on taking all the dead bushes and trees out and mow ASAP)

* Noah learned how to do summersaults - =oP
And I’m gonna have a heart attack soon if he keeps on just rolling around the house! lol
But I’ll right some more another time, this is getting to be a long post anyways and I have a TON of things to do! =)

Check back in a day or two!
The moving is happening soon (within 2 weeks tops!) and lots of pictures coming!!!
Much love my dears!!!

Beijao a todos e muito obrigada Vitooo!!!

This past week…

We have had a busy past few days; I guess we are always busy! =oP (I feel like I have said this in every post this summer - but it’s true!) Still they were very enjoyable days!

One cool thing about the place we live is that during the spring/summer/fall our street gets together pretty much every Friday and Saturday nights… and the party goes until you have energy… it’s usually a lot of fun! So even when we have no plans for the weekends we do!!! We end up hanging out with our neighbors!

Saturday was SO nice to get together with Shay and her fam to celebrate her birthday! We had a very nice time! We also got to go to KI with them on Monday and we stay all the way to Fireworks. Dan met us there after work and kids, of course, had a blast! =)
It was awesome to see Lane “grow out” from the “Nick” side to the bigger rides! (Especially cause I got to ride some decent rides – lol)

Sunday after church we went out for lunch with the Dani, Kip & kids to say good-bye, since they are living to Brasil for quite a long time! Dani is so cute; she wanted the kids to spend as much time as possible together so they would “stay connected” She was afraid Benji was gonna forget about Isaac & Grace! Imagine that!!!!  =) *We’ll definitely miss them!*

Today Angela and I went out to the new house and finished painting the kitchen & dinning room – it’s amazing what a coat of paint can do! =)
Can’t tell you the about of weight it’s off my shoulders for having this done (long story – I’ll write about it in a couple of wks)

Not sure when I’ll get to blog again! (I have a ton of pics to post too) We’ll be heading out of town of a couple of days and I’m not sure if we’ll have Internet access.
I have so much I want to blog about…
Benji has this amazing imagination; his creations just blow me away!
Noah is starting to talk more and more.
They are such good friends, they play together 75% of the day and it’s just beautiful to watch!
Benji has being BAGING! Everyday to go to school, I don’t think we are gonna homeschool, at least not for now. He is so seeking so bad for the companionship and the “teacher” figure. I know 2 co-ops close by that would very well sooth this needs at this time, when “mama is no fun to be a teacher” but with the moving and so much going on for us I have no brain to think off it all. I think we need to be well settle before I can dedicate decent time to his needs. So most likely he’ll be in pre-school this coming fall and I’m content about that.
We resumed TV time to nothing; they maybe get an hour or so at night, maybe an hour in the morning. Dan & I don’t watch anything but Hell’s Kitchen – and that will be over soon…
Dan & I started watching him last night and the amount of energy he still had in the end of the day.
Man! I’m absolutely overwhelmed with all the changes happening (and they are happening fast!)
I have so many things to do and at the same time I don’t want to put my kids thru a “confinement” (is that the right word?) while is such a beautiful weather outside and they have all this energy they have!

And God is just so awesome - he has kept me “together” everytime I’m about to fall apart all this time!
I have so much to say/blog…  and so little time.
Maybe I’ll do a voice recorded blog for a while – lol!

A few pics: (Shay, send me the ones from KI when u have a chance pls!)

Benji  Lane play so well together * Shay & Noah

What? Is cheesecake? Let’s go eat!!!! (I can’t believe I actually just published this picture of myself! I’m nuts!)

Eles sĂŁo tĂŁo amigos, eles brincam juntos 75% do dia e Ă© lindo assistir!

Gisele? E vc? Como estao os cachorrinhos?
Vi primo - Valeu a traducao! - Beijoca!

Beijao meus amores…

a lil more

This is (was) supposed to be a much calmer week, so maybe I can get to blog a lit more… and last night we had a pretty empty calendar for this week and a phone call here, a phone call there BOOM – calendar is full!
Still I’m gonna take the day to stay in today and rest, catch up with laundry and give the boys a TV day (they sure can use a resting day)
BS was fun last week, we had a game morning, it started troubled because AP got in a car crash; everyone was ok, Thank God (and it wasn’t her fault! J)– so we were able to just enjoy the rest of the morning… It ended up good.
We never made to KI, so last minute Angela showed me how roll grape leaves – man! They are awesome! I love it. I think I can eat a whole pan of them!
Angela got this very good tasting German beer that reminded me a LOT of Brazilian beer. Very tasty!
It was good because the boys played in the pool in the back yard and rested and were happy enough when we met up with grandma.
Later we went for dinner at Dewey’s pizza with Frances + Steve & Mike & Kristen to say good-bye to Frances
before she left to PT. We had such a nice time, dinner was awesome and we had TCBY for desert! =)

Saturday there was this thing… well, from the beginning:
We met this Indian Lady at the Y the day of Isaac’s birthday and she organizes a potluck picnic every year for everyone who wants to come. So since we are moving to Mason (where she is from) and they meet in a park Mason I thought it would be a good idea to go there… Tim, B& L were over, so we all headed out and I actually had more fun then I expected! =)
I tried some different Indian food (Yummie!) and meet some great people!
The kids played as if there was no tomorrow! There was a nice playground, we took bikes, the ice cream truck came by… they ran ran ran…
And if that wasn’t enough Dan & I took the kids + Dani & Grace to KI, we enjoyed there for another 1.5 hour before fireworks.

If it was up to Benji every Saturday would end with KI fireworks! =)

Sunday morning we got dad fresh donuts from a local donut shop!
Father’s day was very good. Dan wanted nothing more than take-out Thai Food (could he had made any easier for me? *BIG SMILE*)
We had an awesome relaxing day, he got his Bengals tickets and a bunch of crafts from the kids. We got him this awesome political father’s day card lol lol, later Tati invited us for her neighborhood pool, and that was good too.
Benji jumped right into the deep side when we were not around, I was so proud of him for not freaking out so bad; trying to rise up and wanting to go back into the water after this incident. Also proud of Monica for helping him in a VERY smart way!
We were just 5-6 feet away so we could help, but still... it was a little scary.
I better get back to catching up (or trying to) my dishes, get lunch to the kids and the laundry folded… and still this is not even the beginning, hu?! =)

IN PORTUGUESE:

Eu provei umas comidas tipicas indianas diferentes (Humm!) e encontrei umas pessoas legais!

VALEEEEEEEEEEEU VITAO pela traducao! =)

Super beijo a todos!

an unfinished post…

If I had to describe what I’m feeling in one word it would be exhaustion.

I though long weekends were supposed to be more time to relax… more time to rest – not more tired!

I’m excited about the moving and I’m ok doing all the work in the new house – I’m just exhausted! And I have a feeling it’ll be long before I feel rested!

Friday flew by, I was at the Hospital pretty much the whole day – btw, baby has a name; Angelica! And here is a pic:

I’m just “in love” with her Latina looks - Awesome, hu?

So anyways… it was actually pretty relaxing to be at the hospital all day, but than we didn’t go to sleep until 3 am that nite…

Saturday Dan was working out his bad hangover from Friday (these old people, just not used to party anymore!!!  :oP) and I drove to Columbus to Mara’s with Ben. The service was AMAZING! I can’t tell how many Brazilians were there, I never counted but there were a LOT of them! I got to eat Brazilian style bbq, Benji eat very well too. It felt SO good to be surrounded by brothers and sisters – I actually saw this one lady, her name is Madalena, whom I met in Brasil while visiting my parents! I wrote her a little note saying next time she was in America to come visit me, and it was just so nice to get to see her there too!
I drove back, it’s about 2 hours late at bight, I think we got in about 1 am but still – it was ALL worth it! The friendship – the fellowship it’s just awesome and straightens me so much! I’m so sad I forgot my camera – so I have no pics! M, if you can send yours to me!!
Even though it was busy and tiring it was also such a special time for Benjamin and I – we talked all during the drive back (he slept all the way there) and we just spending time together, sharing lots of laughs.

When I got up Sunday morning all I could think was “oh, TG it’s a 3 days weekend, I still can rest on Monday” lol

Isaac has a birthday this coming week and Sunday was his party! It was SO fun! Not just for the kids but looked like the adults had fun too! =)  The little ones sure spent all kinds of energy! =)

They made a “mud pie” with pudding, Oreo cookies and gummy worms on it (where does Daniela get those ideas? lol)

 * Monica and her “mud pie” * And Isaac’s lovely muddy smile! =)

  * Boys having fun! =) Doing what they were born to!

Oh yeah I forgot, Benji gave Isaac his gifta week ago, when he was over! I think Isaac was happier about the money he got to up inside then about the piggy bank itself! lol * I love the “hand on the waist”

 * That is it Issac - liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick (sp?) those fingers! Benji concentrated * Noah only wanted to hydrate!

From Sam’s birthday, Noah eating a cup cake * later on: “maaa, get the vaccum, pliiiis!

Hey, at least someone at this house is using tha pedals! * Benji loves his “Mr. Conductor’s hat”

Grace, doing great at her gynastics * Buddys hugging! =)

* So you see this picture - Oh yeah! lovelly - Noah wants to use the potty!!! He is ready to go without diapers??!!

Sunday nite Perry cooked this awesome mexican dish I love and I got to have one! =) We watched Narnia! (The first one - What an awesome movie. I’m mad at myself for taking so long to watch it! now I really want to see the 2sd one!
They also had a cookout on Monday - for Memorial day, and it was so melow and quiet! All we need to finish the long weekend top notch! We eat like crazy and crashed on the couch while the kids ran around and burned out their energy!!
Because I… I haven’t had energy since Friday… I being working on “auto” mode! =)

Exausta - se eu tivesse que descrever como eu me sinto em uma palavra so, essa seria! Exaustao!!! =] (sorriso amarelo)
Eu to podre, aqui foi feriado hj, segunda, e eu nao descansei nada!
A Daniela tem cada idea legal!!! Nao sei daonde ela tira essas coisas malucas!!!
….
