So this morning I had to wake Noah up to take Ben to school. It was a busy crazy morning... I took Noah from the bed, got him into the car with a cup of chocolate milk and we left. As I get to the school Noah is crying because he needs to go pee. I can only imagine how bad he needs to go (usually, like pretty much everyone I know he goes to the bathroom right after he wakes up with a full bladder) so I knew I had no time to go inside and get him to a bathroom... It is a lil walk until the building and I KNEW we had no time. So before I even spent a minute thinking what do to I took him out of the car and told him to go pee on in my car tire. Very discret (really) he went very close to the car and only put his pee pee out and did his business. No flashy - no big deal. EXCEPT when I look around there are LITERALLY 6 mom's STARING at us!!! Like staring as if I committed a murder or something!
I mean it's not like we do this every time - it's not like I was gonna let him do it on his pants and have all that to get stressed about! And have to go back home with a wet pants on the car seat blah blah blah !
I'm sorry to say - and I DO NOT want to sound rude... but this would NOT be such a big deal in Brasil and it makes me SO annoyed!

Good reposts = a happy mama
I think one of a mother's most rewarding moments is when your child says "I love you" or just makes you feel special, loved and proud.
Well this weekend Noah had his first sleep over and Benji had plenty before but still did very well. So happy to hear the reports on them (2 nights in a row - 2 different friends) and to hear a positive comment about our parenting and our kids was just a "cherry on top"!
"whatever you are doing keep on - they are polite, have great manners, are caring & loving kids"
and yet - stll play and enjoy life as every child should! (robot kids drive me insane)
I'm happy!
And by the way:
Thanks girls for having the kids this weekend! =) Dan & I had a great time and we own you BIG!

Toys - Toys - Toys - Toys
We are well aware that our kids don't need nearly was many toys as they have, we can't even keep up with what we have but yet we are still buying new ones.
I just cleaned the basement with the kids and trashed about 2 full trash bags of broken toys - one huge box went to GoodWill with the still working toys - and the very cool/nice ones are on a box to Brasil. Stilll we have a TON of toys in the basement. It's a room full of all kids of toys you can imagine. Board games we have over 20 of them ...
Yet - still I want to buy them more - and NOT give what we habe away...
I have such a hard time with that – my kids say hey want something I start looking at the price and working ways to get whatever it is that they want.
Sometimes I even feel like I want to give it to them more then they really want something – does that make any sense? LOL
So yesterday we went out to "Toys r us" to do a little "study" on the things that are out there and the things the kids are really interested on and here is their “little” wish list (for what I can remember right now) :
1.WII - $200 + whatever coast of games and accessories
2. Power car - $200 +
3.Scooter $50/each (that will require new helmets for both boys $20/each)
4.Pogo stick $45
5.Drum set $85
6.Digital Camera 4 kids $60
7.Acoustic Guitar $40
8.Scooby Doo set $35
9.DS $150/each + games
10.Skate Board $ 25/each
11.Woody from Toy Story $40
12.LeapFrog game $60
13.Star wars light saber (the new double one) $35/each
14.Geotrax airport $55
15.“Over drive”car $99
16.Trampoline $45
17.Nerf guns from $25 - $40/each
These are the things they are more crazy about it – there are plenty of $10 - $20 stuff that they ask... I can give you a good reason why I should by each one of those 17 on the list... they have a bunch of good reasons as well! =D LOL
Fact is that they may get one if that... =( It makes me more sad then they will be!

A mother's worst fear...
Its to have your children in danger - sick or anything that may hurt them.
If I would ask you what is a mother's biggest fears I'm sure you could come up with a neverending list; and we know how to prevent many of them to happen, and we pray for God to protect our little ones.
But what we should have fear of is the things we cannot control and the things we can't think of - there for you can't prevent!
And of course for me that happens more often then not and is just that one things that happens in the movies and you don't think it can ever happen for real - well... yes those are the ones that happen to me!
We have one of our sofas against a window - there is blinds and curtains on there.
The boys jump in the couch - everyday! Every single day - and that is the only couch they are allowed to jump on... and often they will flio into the back of the couch and scoot over from behind...
So this morning - right under my nose - next to me - Noah was jumping - like he always do getting out from the back and running back to do it all over again when - BLAH!
The cords on the blindes got stuck on his neck! At first I didn't realized he was serious and when I realized I he was chocking.
I helped him take the cords out - and sat down to sink in what had just happened and get my legs to stop shaking. I can just thank God for watching over him and protecting him at that time!
*sign*
Right after it happened
Tonite, during bath time - not much better!
Being so lucky the way I'm someone just may call child services on me thinking I was trying to hurt my son! =oP

A total surprise
Today after school we had lunch and while the boys played at the house I did about 4-5 loads of laundry.... When I was on my last load we were all hanging out upstairs – Noah had just woken up from a nap and he was so grumpy so I was holding him and getting him to wake up all the way little Benjamin was hanging with us.
I didn't even noticed that Benjamin left the room – I kept on talking to Noah and asking him if he wanted to play – when he finally decided to do so I yelled for Benji “Benji – come play with us”
He did answer that he was coming and he sounded tired but close by...
when I look back, guess what?
Benji was standing at the door, with a laundry basket full of dry clothes! He says:
“Here it is mom – the laundry was beeping and you were helping Noah so I got them for you to fold”
How awesome is that? I did hear in the back of my mind the laundry beep but Noah was for sure keeping me busy – I never asked Benji to do that – never even mentioned about the laundry....
He just did – all on his own, got all the laundry in the basket and dragged a pretty heavy basket up to the stairs!!!
I could not help but just kiss kiss kiss kiss him! =) What a sweet and thoughtful boy?!!

As Seen On TV !!
Benjamin’s new thing is staking cups. He saw something about it on TV and now he is trying to do it. I need to get him the “real” cups, (he has practice with the regular plastic cups and that doesn’t work nearly as well…) He does it really cute! =) * I’ll make a little movie soon…

Thanks Leslie!!! =)
For the 2 new playsilks! (They were actually worship flags, what makes them even cooler!) - The boys loved it! God Bless You!!!

This was Benji’s old one - A toy well used! =) -Thank you too Kt.

Legal, nao?!

2 totally different posts
1. Wild Oats Sold! =))) That is good news! I think we'll get more variety and better prices with Whole Foods!
2.
I was doing my laundry when....
…I heard Noah crying in the living room, so I walked over there:
Benji: Mooooooooom, Noah is crying!
Me: Why?
B: Because I hit him in the head!!! (He didn’t even give me time to say and continued…)
B: With this bridge mommy, I used this bridge…(a plastic toy)
M: Why Benji? Why did you do these? (while helping Noah)
B: He was blanking (breaking) my tracks, I’m playing trains and I hit him! (No signs of feelieng guilty here - at all!)
M: Benji – that was not nice, Noah is a baby he wants to play with you blah blah blah… + blah blah blah…
B: Sorry Noah! Then he holds my face and say: Mommy, I said sorry!!!
M: Thanks Benji – what about a big hug?
Benji hugged Noah, Noah smiled, tears running down his face
B: I think he needs that “Nemo” from the freezer mommy (a reusable fish shaped like ice pack we have)

Children’s museum - MBC Group
The Brazilian Moms group went to the Children’s museum today and it was great! I personally went to the bible study first (and it was a great chapter – Luke 3 this week and next week, chapter 4 I have a feeling it will be even better!)
Nicole and Jessica drove with us, everyone brought something and ate all together at those picnic tables.
There were 9 families and about 15 kids I believe (please correct me if I’m wrong). Katia and Dari were two new moms who came this time; we were so glad to have them!
Katia is from Brasil and her husband is from Mexico. She has a 2.5 year old boy; Victor. Dari is from Puerto Rico, she has Isabella 2.5 and Nathan who is 5 (He is the sweetest boy EVER!)

Barfed but still proud
Today I got pretty brave, after the bible study I got both kids in the car and we went grocery shopping at Wild Oats. It was almost lunchtime so I decided to get us some food; I got some sushi for me - Mac & Cheese for Benji. Everything was great and I was pretty proud of myself! Just minutes before we were going to leave, I started nursing Noah while Benji had this Raspberry Puree for desert and guess what?
He didn’t like it, gagged and threw up! All tables were full, lots of people having their lunches and my cute Benji barfing all over the place…
Gracious!
I stopped nursing, now Noah is crying… then Benji started to cry! But I kept my patience and I was really calm and got control of it!
I’m learning not to loose my mind when they both start screaming at the same time, just block it and help whoever one is in more dangerous first… =oP
I still loved eating my sushi, drinking my water and quite a few yogurt pretzels for desert!
The bible study? Oh yes, let me tell ya… Shelly up the street (Very nice lady, she homeschool, has 4 children) Every Friday she gets a few woman together to read the bible and talk about relationships, motherhood and whatever other subjects we like, the kids stay on her basement with a baby sitter ($2/child – what a bargain!) and we have lots of good talk. I’m really enjoyed!
Grace is hanging out here this afternoon, we went to pick her up at Jeannie’s house while Daniela is there working on the garage sale and since her and Benji are having a good time together I got to post some of my day that were “draft” at blog.com!
And this afternoon around 2:30pm Marcia’s baby was born! A 7#s 4oz and 20 inches long beautiful girl! =)
