Have you heard of Bionical Ears????

I'm sure you have heard the term and you can imagine something in your mind, probably a hearing aid I would say. But I think like me – mostly, if you don't have someone in your family of group of friends with a cochlear implant you are not sure what I'm talking about.

Well – I didn't until I met this fine little guy I like to call “Tata”. He was born with 100% hearing loss in both ears. When I first met him he only had one implant, now he has it in both ears and the progress I seeing in this little guy is just tremendous!

I'm feel so blessed to know him and his family. And just the other day he came over with his Koala, a stuffed animal that also had the “Papapa” (this is how he calls his Implant System). Him and his brother got a Cochlear Koala when he had his second implant's surgery, just a few weeks ago. Watching the kids playing with the bear was just priceless and after they leftour house  my kids were very interested on getting a bear with an “implant” as well. “How come does Tata gets one of these in his ears and I don't?”

And here I go explain to him all of it. It got me into the whole idea of REALLY – how does it work?! And I did a little reading about it – its just AMAZING! The Bionic ear!!! If you find that you have yourself a little time you may want to read if yourself. And there are many stories of real families – newborns to adults that have the implant as well.

How amazing is that God gives man such technology to develop such a thing to give us awesome devices/support/experiences like this!!

Their web site is: Cochlear Implant

Here is a picture of my friend Tata, this is what the implant looks like - a pic from my phone so it's not such a good one!

And he didn't want to finish his Pasta so he grabed a pillow so Koala would be tall enought and told him to sit and eat it all!

This is the Cochlear Koala - you can get him on the site fro $30 or just to Cochlear Kit for $8 and use it in any stufferd animal you wish! Cool, no?!

200's is OVER & I'll NEVER go there again!

Ok so I did it!! =) And here is a picture to prove it! =) LOL
I sure don't feel it on my clothing or see it on my face but as soon as the scale tells me it's down, well I'll just have to believe it! =oP

Got chocolate skin?

For the past month Noah has being making his hair wet - mainly on his bangs - and when I finally approached him and asked him why he told me that it was because he didn't like "vanilla" hair - and when it was wet his hair was black!

So this morning Noah was in the bathroom for a long time so I decided to check - you just never know with him...

He was standing on the top of the toilet seat with the lid closed looking at himself in the mirror, changing positions, bringing his legs towards the back one at the time from his body - that made a shadow on the mirror and he said

"Mom, look at my leg in the mirror, it's chocolate"

I said: "That is right Noah! It is chocolate - Do you like the color chocolate?" Because at this point I knew he was talking about the color itself! HE is NOT a sweet kind of guy, you can't ever bribe him with candy or chocolate - so this was a color conversation

He answered anxious and exciting: "YES! I wish my face was chocolate like Isaac's (our friend) - I looove the chocolate - it's the bestests color!"

Well Noah, I agree! Colorless is so pale! - Chocolate it's my favorite color too!!! =)))

Now THIS is the REAL meaning of EASTER!

In Brasil we have big chocolate eggs on Easter - that is pretty much it, no candy or stuffed animals or any other toys - just CHOCOLATE EGGS! And that is one of the few things we miss like crazy on Easter.( I miss this one awesome cake too called Colomba Pascal)

The chocolate eggs come in all sizes and of course we always look for the biig ones, as tall as 40 inches! They have all different themes and come stuffed with truffles, bonbons or even toy sometimes...

Every year we get a taste of it because we either were in Brasil until carnaval or mom sends it to us but this year we were thinking it wasn't gonna happen until today! =) Tia Vera sent some with Tati for both kids! =) Can I say they had a blast?

the cutest gift I have ever got!...

I forgot to post about this, having guests in the house took me off track for a little while, but now that I'm thinking about it I want to share with you the cutest gift ever!...

This year for my birthday Dan got me a star!
Yeah - a Star!
These is one of those things that I always wanted but never was gonna say anything, ykwIm? It's not fun if you ask for it?! I think it's super romantic too! He read this beautiful poem before he gave it to me, while he was reading I was wondering "hu - lots os love, star and my name in this poem - wonder what he is up to" and sure enough! A star registry!

So - somewhere up in the sky there's a star with my name! =) *so Cool*

Good reposts = a happy mama

I think one of a mother's most rewarding moments is when your child says "I love you" or just makes you feel special, loved and proud.

Well this weekend Noah had his first sleep over and Benji had plenty before but still did very well. So happy to hear the reports on them (2 nights in a row - 2 different friends) and to hear a positive comment about our parenting and our kids was just a "cherry on top"!

"whatever you are doing keep on - they are polite, have great manners, are caring & loving kids"

and yet - stll play and enjoy life as every child should! (robot kids drive me insane)
I'm happy!

And by the way:
Thanks girls for having the kids this weekend! =) Dan & I had a great time and we own you BIG!

Am I really gonna get to do this??? =DDDD

Its easy sometimes when you just coast along
But like it or not something always seems to go wrong
Sometimes people build you up just so they can knock you down
Sometimes they will have you there cause they need someone around

Perhaps youll receive invitations for tea
Perhaps youll laugh and make them all smile
Or maybe youll join them cause it had to be
Perhaps youll forget you forgot for awhile

Birds of a feather are flocking outside
Like whippets they dance in a curly-queue dance
Of pulses and ringing and campfire chants
Of ritual drumming although at first glance
You thought you could run but you wont take a chance

Its not an experience if they cant bring someone along
They hang on emotions they bottle inside
They peck at the ground
And strut out of stride

Happy Birthday Shannon!!!! =)))

I'm SOOOO so excited!

So it's my friend Shay's birthday today, I know what I want to get for her for her birthday but never made out this week - I was so busy with the kids and working - so anyways I still had a card for her and I also got her a lottery ticket that said "LOTS OF 50'S"

I wanted to get the birthday scratch lottery tickets but for some reason the "LOTS OF 50'S" called my attention - I open my purse and guess what? I only have 1 - yes 1 dollar and they do NOT take credit card. So I go ahead and get one and wrote into the card:

- I wish I could give you "LOTS OF 50'S" my dear, but I can't =(

Try the lottery ticket!

I sure did wishe from the botton of my heart! - and guess what???? She got 50 bucks!!!! The very first and only lotery I have ever got! With trully all the desire to give her $ for her birthday! =) Awesome! It's not "LOTS OF 50'S" but 50 bucks it's a good start! =)))

God’s plans are perfect!

Dan’s car broke a couple weeks before I left to Brasil. It was not worth it to fix it so we decided that we were gonna wait until I got back from Brazil to decide what to do - in the mean time Dan was gonna drive the Van.

My friend Connie calls me every other day in Cincinnati, she has also a “calling plan” to Brasil, so she called me here a few times too. She never knew Dan’s car was gonne… Somehow we forgot to talk about that…
One day she calls me here in Brasil… she mentioned she is moving back to Brasil (that made me SO upset) she is such a good friend always there for me…
…we talked for a while and she said: “I praied about my car,it’s broken, I don’t want to fix it, but the Lord said it’s supposed to bless someone… I’m not so such what to do - do you know anyone who needs a car???”

Of course I sais “It’s me” - of course. LOL I asked: “Did u know Dans car broke???”

Anyways… we talked for awhile about it… She gave it to us, Dan sent the car to be fixed. It costed about $800 to get it all fixed up and now we have a 2001 black Stratus that is probably worth more then 3500 bucks!!! =)

Dan drove the car this whole week and said it runs great!!! We are so excited and thankful to the Lord and to Coonie!

- reporting from her side, she called today and said the Lord has being blessing her tremendusly - he actually got some money she wasn’t expecting from like 2 diferent sources and she is also VERY thankful for the work the Lord has being doing in her life!!
Probably by reading this post you can’t imagine howperfect God’s plan is/was. The way everything happened and the ways God works are just amazing!!

She gets tears in my eyes…

(Comment this) **

Kevin came to visit!!! =)

Kev is in town this week – not for a good reason thou – his father is in the hospital.

We had a cookout Sunday night so he got to see and spend some time with us and the kids. Mike & Kristin, Tim & Renee, The Ponds and the Pascuals were here too. Oh dear - I miss him! He was the one friend Dan and I haged out a lots as a couple and I miss him…

Many blessings to count!

Dad went to the hospital a couple of weeks ago to prep to his surgery – supposed his colon cancer had spread to the liver and lungs! Anyways – after 3 positive tests his 4th one show nothing but “calcium accumulation” - Lets talk about a miracle?

And mom lost one for her jobs (we knew it wasn’t a permanent thing) and she got it back just a few days later – the same day dad went into the hospital.

Not a thousand Glories will be enough to thank our Lord! =)
