So it's being 30 days since I decided to take the Challenge from Dr. Pete and I must say it has being fun! (well - not the weight part of it)
So far I had 2 visits - The boys had a few more; 3 total, but I'm very comfortable with due to the situations! They even had become advocates and don't want me to drive to fast food not even just for an ice cream! Ben said "Remember mom? Its not healthy? IT's actually bad for you? We can just go to UDF instead" and that day we settled for fruit Popsicles.
Noah still asks often – at least 2 times a week if we can “peease mommy go to Wendy's and have a cheesebuger” it feels like he craves it! Benjamin does just fine. I tried making veggie burger at home, they eat them fine. It's being a very radical but awesome change for my family and I'm SO happy we finally took this step! =)
I'm please with the results!
On the weight – weeelll I haven't seeing much change there yet! My goal was 6 pounds in the 6 wks and all I got so far was 4 and I seem to be pretty stuck where I'm. I do not have motivation to exercise and still – even I'm not eating fast food I do eat way more than I should. Perhaps once this 40 days are over a new goal will be in place and that will be more affective to change my weight; but this far even with no big change I'm still glad my first goal it's being met this far! =)

Dad
Dad had surgery on his back today and is on ICU - Sounds like everything went well, except now his blood pressure is a little high
Waiting for a miracle and another one happened...
So, from the beginning…
You may have read that 2.5 yrs ago when I was about to have Noah my dad was diagnosed with Colon cancer. He had 20 inches of his colon removed right the way and started chemo. Not too long after that they detected spots on his liver. The day of his surgery for that the Drs couldn’t find anything. We got our first miracle! =)
A year goes by and his lungs had a few spots – little but lots of them. The problem was that this made this cancer not operable this time. So lots and lots of chemo – changed medication, this time his hair fell off – he had different side effects. After 6 months of chemo his one big spot on the lung had shrunk however he had quite a few new little ones.
When we got in Brasil last December my dad was complaining of back pain, but since he works caring boxes up and down all day long we thought that this was the reason. He went to a back Dr. who prescribed physical therapy. He good and bad days… until last week, on Sunday it was bad – that night he never slept, around 5 am we took him to the E.R. where he had shots of morphine but still felt lots of pain.
He did a ton of test and since the pain never stopped. On Wednesday he took all test results he had to his oncologist, no appointment – just showed up there and waited until the guy saw him, and from his office he sent dad straight to the hospital, to wait for surgery.
We are waiting on a specialist – cause his Dr. that did his colon surgery can’t do any neurosurgery, so we are waiting on this new Doc. We being waiting since Wednesday; and I guess this new doc is the very best out there.
I don’t believe anything will happen until Monday or Tuesday. In the mean time dad is still at the hospital, either in a lot of pain or VERY medicated.
We go see him every day, the boys have being there, my grandma – his mom came from another state and we are here, praying and waiting.
I also talked to my grandpa for the first time ever - for me this was a miracle alone – (my dad's dad) My grandpa left my grandma when my dad was only 2 and they only got together maybe a half dozen times their whole life. This has being an amazing change for all of us. I never met Grandpa Jose but we talked on the phone twice yesterday.
It's being VERY important to my dad to reconect after 50 something years.
There are quite a load of mixed feelings. Sad for dad, happy for grandpa – happy to see dad without any pain but worried about how groggy he is…
My mom is a pile of worry – her bp is going crazy and I’ll be leaving back to Cincinnati in 3 days... and for sure is not going to be easy.
We are waiting on a miracle.

About Benji
Benji has being talking a lot about Jesus, questions like “why did he die?”, “How old was Him?” and comments like “I miss Jesus, He needs to come back soon”, “He lives in my heart, He lives everywhere”
So a couple of days ago Benji found a flute and was playing is so loud – all over the house and we could not even listen to each other. So at some point I asked him to stop [laying the flute for a while, he looked up and asked:
“Jesus, do you like my music? - Ok, thank you!”
He looked back at me and said “Jesus like my music – so I’m gonna keep on playing”
His pre-school teacher, Mrs. C sent us an e-mail, Benjamin was SO excited! He wanted to see Mrs. C in the web cam right there and show her how he can write his name. I think that hit him hard because for a few hours he was talking about going back to “Cinci a di”
He misses school a lot and it was so happy to get that e-mail! Every store we go in that has nick necks he’ll ask me to “Buy something to Mrs. Chilton, Mrs. Fair and Grant!”
He is surprising me every minute, coming out with new words in Portuguese and just being such a good almost 4 yrs old. He told his dad a saying in Portuguese today “Now it’s a good time to play, if you want to play, do it, if you don’t you can’t complain later on that you didn’t play”
He is in love with writting his name (I need to take a pic or scan his papers!) - also he is so proud to say his full name!!

Quick Update
Noah’s speech seems to be developing very well, he is just like a parrot and repeats whatever we say, English or Portuguese. He absolutely surprised me with the amount of words he’s added to his vocabulary. I can’t remember if he did this before or not, but he’s doing somersaults unassisted. Also, his eating schedule is great! He’ll eat everything and anything you put on his plate. He will walk by the fruit basket and grab a banana or any other fruit. He’s so cute, everything he’s eating, if it falls on the floor, he’ll put it aside and say: “Give to it ‘Fee – aw – na’ (Fiona, my sister’s dog)”.
I’m afraid of spoiling by saying it, but he’s sleeping very well through the night and he did great without his dad (they are so attached). I think somehow he transferred his attachment from dad to Tia Claudia, but still loves to see daddy on the computer and every time I’m on the phone he’ll ask to talk to daddy.
Benjamin was extremely adaptable with all the changes but yesterday woke up crying saying he missed his house and his daddy.
He’s on “rehab” when it comes to chicken nuggets; he’s gone without it for 2 or 3 weeks now. I can also mention but not explain how much he’s been dancing!!! Every song he listens to he’ll start moving and even brake dancing! Haha SO cute!
He loves to take showers and play in the pool, tia Claudia showed him how to blow bubbles in the water so it won’t come into his nose, and he’s been using the technique even in the shower. He’s been sleeping with Tia Claudia, no diapers on and no wet bed!
His vocabulary is also improving a bunch. He surprises us with full sentences in Portuguese, like the other day he said to my dad “Não tem mais” (Meaning there are no more tracks left– for them to build a track for the trains) and other things – pretty cool.
Funny is how so quickly he realized that most people here just don’t understand English and he teaches them! Always talking slow, using sign language or pointing! Way too cool!
I have a ton of pictures but my mom is “jealous” of the computer and won’t let me spend much time online, so I can't pst them =oP! She believes that I can forget about blogging and other stuff I do online while I’m here cause she doesn’t want to waist a minute!
IT’s so funny how she and I get into little fights daily but I just can’t imagine my life without her! The way she treats my kids and let them comfortable, it’s amazing! I – myself don’t let my kids basically destroy my house like she does! They are the world to her – and vacation can’t ever be anywhere else. I think only here they can truly enjoy EVERY second! I’m so happy!
Frances is also like that with the kids – her house is “for the kids” and she is just loving and caring with the boys! As much as I would love to go to other family – and states or places I just can’t picture my kids being so limited to do things when my mom and my mother in law basically let them be! =) It’s too much of a joy!!!
It’s pouring out rain and my mom was supposed to be home like 2 hours ago. I understand the rain makes traffic terrible, and again – as much as she gets to me sometimes and as much as I’m enjoying being able to be online without worrying – I’m nervous she isn’t here yet!

We have a new family blog!
If you being reading my "BEM" Blog you know that from the past 4 years I used blog.com 3.5 I being talking about changing! And I never had time to work on a new blog, transfer is all, set a page the way I would like to and also refuse to pay someone to do so.
I have many many friends that complain about blog.com - they can't leave comments, the page doesn't open and so forth... I have a hard time with them as well.
So I just decided
- since we are going to Brasil in 2 weeks and many people have asked the blog address to keep up with the news from down south....
to just to this blog where things seems to flow better and give it a shot! =D
I'll try to keep up with pictures while we are in Brasil and posting as much as I can (I sure will have more free time down there with so many hands to help with the boys)
I'll also try posting in English/Portuguese as much as can. I know everyone was loving it when I was able to keep that up, but I'll do my best! =)
Thanks for stoping by! Thanks for reading! I do write to myself - not just as a joy but also as I journal type of thing - so I can always go back and remember when the kids did this n that but also I do write for you! =D

Things are happening and I'm not posting because I'm trying to "catch up" from the summer - and I'm getting the feeling this will never happen! lol So I'm gonna just go ahead and get a few more of the bigger events from this past summer and just go back to blogging =)
Here is a slide show with pics from our Labor day picnic with the Lucas family - and a brazilian style BBQ! =)
Here a slideshow of our train ride @ LMM with Grandpa Elan and friends Carter, Collin & Carson! =) It was also very enjoyable for me too! C & I had a good time to talk and relax!

Summer 03 in a few
Some other random stuff we did this summer – or like we say in Brazil: “nothing to do with another stuff”
Of course now I can’t think of the important stuff on the top of my head - only some very random things…
blah! Anyways:
* Andy took us to this amazing Chinese food place very close to out house that has very good food for not a lot of money! =oP I wish I never known about that restaurant! =)
Also this last week we met Gio! Andy’s bf from NY.
* This summer we had a great time at Grandma Frances house! With the tire swing, the garden, lots of veggies to plant and to pick! Steve built a nice sand box to the kids…
Grandma had a bad car accident about 2 months ago. So she wasn’t doing great already, now she is definitely suffering! Since this happened we only being able to see her 2 or 3 times. =(
* Benji had a ton of Sleepovers… both ways, he spent the night at friends houses and had friends spent the night at our! I’m not sure why (– because at our house the routine doesn’t change because we have guests overnight) but he just LOVES sleepovers!
*We are not leaving for another 3 months but we already got out tickets to Brasil!!!!
* Benji started pre-school.
* Both boys are not afraid of water (pool) they will now dive, and have head under water without any problem! Yay!
* We had the nicest time on Labor day on a picnic at a local park, after a Brazilian style bbq we went out to walk on the creek, played in the water and freebie and kids had a blast!
* Daia got married and our very good friend Perry got baptized (Both USA) and we had one new baby in Brasil, Joao Victor!
* We had an awful windy day (because of hurricane IKE) it left a lot of people without power (we didn’t – thank Jesus!) and a lot of damage! Benji didn’t have school for a whole week and most of our activities were canceled!
* We being to our Community Center at least 4x/wk. The boys LOVE that place. Very different from the YMCA – close to where we used to leave. They cried every time we went in there… Here they cry to leave! They bag me to go there… I guess I’m just gonna have to start working out eventually! I sure can say I love dropping them off at child watch and having 2 hours to make phone calls and read in peace! **deep breath** =D
* Blah – more later – it’s 3 am I’m going to bed!!!! Peace!

Update on Noah
He has not being to a Dr. for a long time now – so I did my own 2 yr. Old check up! *He weights 28 pounds and it’s 37 inches tall. Has 10 teeth on the top and 8 down.
It’s amazing how big Noah’s vocabulary has become. I don’t even think I can count how many works he is saying now.
* This past month he I believe it was his biggest improvement. Not just in English but in Portuguese too!Sentences pooping out without much trouble, and very very good with sharing about things he observes. He’ll scream if he feels like he is not being heard, with his hands on his face like “home alone” MAMAAAAAAAAA!
Some of my favorites:
“ Whe did da go?” - Where did daddy go?
“shoeiiin” – Swing (His favorite thing in the world!)
“guagua” Agua (His 2sd fav. Thing) lol
“noao” – is a mixing of no in English and nao in Portugues – Too cute!
“bro” for brother – that is how he calls Benji
* He reconizes/says numbers 1-8 and sings along with the ABC's songs but really don't know any letter's yet...
* Loves loves loves loves to sing! Knows the last word on the senteces of many songs... SOunds like my dad trying to sing!
* Is very happy to see Benji when he gets home from school or other playdates, always wants to be with Benji and his friends.
* These days he can’t see a bag of Cheetos or a swing!
* He has used the potty more then once for both pee and poop but we haven’t enforced at all, just letting he go as he wishes!
* Loves to talk to vovos and titia thru the camera or phone. He is such a loving child, always sending kisses, loves to hug, play very with other children, easy on sharing expect when it’s with Ben (I guess he knows his brother won’t fight over) Smart of him I guess! =oP

Grab a drink, seat back because this will be a long one!
PART 1
WOW! I can’t believe it it’s over! We moved and we are finally settled down! No more boxes, no more mess!
The only 2 things it’s left to do its finish hanging our picture frames and one more run to IKEA for a dinning table set.
IKEA rocks! They have everything and cheap! I know that store top to bottom, let me tell ya! =) We are so much closer now; I think this past month I was there every other day. Lol
The new house settled down so well. I was so down and negative at first, didn’t want to leave Lebanon at all but I’m LOVING here. It’s amazing the transformations… all of them. How God changed my heart towards this new house, the transformation we (Dan & I) did in this place: painted all rooms including bathrooms and basement, the new bath sinks and the whole new ½ bath including the new flooring, the chair rail on the laundry room. And how it transformed it into “our” house when we actually moved our furniture in here.
It’s funny how most of our furniture looks better here, it feels like they “belong” more here then on the other house… they fit better!
The boy’s room it’s so spacious and the bunk bed works much better now… we actually have 4 bedrooms now too!
So, still there’s much we want to do here, of course, I want curtains, and rugs and new kitchen cabinets… but it all takes time AND money… but “slow and steady wins the race” and with time we’ll get there!
The neighbors are all very sweet and I feel like we are in the middle of life again! It’s like in Brasil, people walking outside, we can walk to the stores, we can walk to the pool and the schools (actually we haven’t – yet) and it’s busy and noise and ALIVE! =)
I can’t thank enough my Brazilian friend Nilma from Ky, She has 4 kids and her oldest girl is 19, Luciane. She came and stayed with me for almost the whole month of July. She was with us during packing, moving and unpacking, she pretty much watched the boy for me everyday while I was coming over here to work and move little things here and there and after the move she was there for it all. I can’t thank her enough. She helped with the boys daily, and moving furniture around until I was happy (lol) and when you though she was upstairs resting she was washing the bathrooms, vacuuming… never stopped! We also had lots of fun together! All resting time we watched a bunch of movies, her boyfriend came to visit from NY and spent 3 days with us, we went to KI, roller-skating for Lane’s birthday (and guess what – I still got it!!!), we visited the CCM and went shopping a few times. I can’t describe what a blessing it was to have her with us!
Lu became a part of the family fast, and I understand how awesome it’s to have an au pair living in with you! Man it makes life so much easier… and that makes us even more excited and anxious for Carol’s arrival in September! She should leave Brasil Sep. 1 and be here on the second; as of right now she will be with us for 6 months.
Well… going back a little this past few months…
Benji missed the old house for maybe a week, until he made friends with Julio, this 5 yr old boy that is just as crazy about trains as he is (maybe even a little more). I think since we moved they have got together at least every other day.
Benji & Noah also love the MCC (they never really connected at the YMCA), here at the new center they LOVE the pool, playroom AND *believe me or not* CRIE to leave the child watch.
Grandpa Elan came in town to visit for a couple weeks (he usually comes around Ben's and Noah's birthdays)
I have a LOAD of pictures to post!!! Not a minute to spare and sit on the computer, load them up & post…. Hopefully soon! =)
Part 2 will come soon - I need to leave real fast now... SORRY!

SORRY!
IKEA - I finally did!
And I’m still buzzed! Angela and I were there for about 6 hours yesterday! Yes you read it right, 6 hours! Yes with both kids, Yes, you read id right, with both kids! =)
Believe me or not I did not spend a lot of money at all!!!! I got a $9 tent for the boys to play (because they being using our real gigantic camping tent) and some good size plastic spoons for cereal for like $1,99.
But I was able to pick the new dinning room set to the new house (since we don’t have a eat in kitchen now and really – our dinning table, it’s time to go!)
I was fascinated with it all! Imagine, there was a train table there so the boys were also fascinated! =oP
Angela called and invited us, I was kind of if-if because of going with both kids, but I’m glad I did! We got there around 10am, around noon we had lunch and walked some more until about 4:30pm, the child care think was always fun but I cannot tell you how GREAT my kids behaved! (With a little few too mane bathroom stops, but still!)

A little catch uo post here:
Some things I can remember from the past few days:
* Kentucky was awesome! Getting together with my sisters from CCB gives me such a good energy; they are so awesome, just like a big family, so loving! The driving was smooth and kids were awesome!
* Benji got a game Cube from daddy (did I mention that yet?) and just one game so far – a “Finding Nemo” game. Dan got a Wii, with the moving we haven’t even got out of the package…. But eventually he’ll get to it!
* Claudio – a distant “uncle” from Brasil passed away from lung cancer this past Money. He was diagnosed just a few weeks after my dad, so my dad is a mess. Very upset and depressed about! I pray for the Lord that he will come to understand that he is pretty healthy right now and that the Lord has being keeping him healthy around for a reason, it’s got to be hard to keep it positive when you have the disease but God has the power to heal for complete and he needs to have faith! We are here today with no cancer and just may not be here tomorrow… this doesn’t being anything. Ykwim?
* Dan was so sick the night from Monday to Tuesday (we both were) barfing all night long and I had “the runs” (Dan didn’t) so he ended up working from home. So it was cool because he had chance to take Noah to MRDD/Help Me Grow and see what we do there and how much fun Noah has while learning sign language/ and having the speech therapy. That was so cool!
* I have a nasty migraine today ;oPPPP
* I worked on our yard this past weed for a full day, pulled out 90% of our weeds by the roots (They were nasty) and still spray something for them) – It’s Wednesday and I’m still *SO* sore! Lol – (Priscilla – I’m really trying to leave this place the past way possible!!! – Next week I’m gonna work on taking all the dead bushes and trees out and mow ASAP)
* Noah learned how to do summersaults - =oP
And I’m gonna have a heart attack soon if he keeps on just rolling around the house! lol
But I’ll right some more another time, this is getting to be a long post anyways and I have a TON of things to do! =)
Check back in a day or two!
The moving is happening soon (within 2 weeks tops!) and lots of pictures coming!!!
Much love my dears!!!

This past week…
We have had a busy past few days; I guess we are always busy! =oP (I feel like I have said this in every post this summer - but it’s true!) Still they were very enjoyable days!
One cool thing about the place we live is that during the spring/summer/fall our street gets together pretty much every Friday and Saturday nights… and the party goes until you have energy… it’s usually a lot of fun! So even when we have no plans for the weekends we do!!! We end up hanging out with our neighbors!
Saturday was SO nice to get together with Shay and her fam to celebrate her birthday! We had a very nice time! We also got to go to KI with them on Monday and we stay all the way to Fireworks. Dan met us there after work and kids, of course, had a blast! =)
It was awesome to see Lane “grow out” from the “Nick” side to the bigger rides! (Especially cause I got to ride some decent rides – lol)
Sunday after church we went out for lunch with the Dani, Kip & kids to say good-bye, since they are living to Brasil for quite a long time! Dani is so cute; she wanted the kids to spend as much time as possible together so they would “stay connected” She was afraid Benji was gonna forget about Isaac & Grace! Imagine that!!!! =) *We’ll definitely miss them!*
Today Angela and I went out to the new house and finished painting the kitchen & dinning room – it’s amazing what a coat of paint can do! =)
Can’t tell you the about of weight it’s off my shoulders for having this done (long story – I’ll write about it in a couple of wks)
Not sure when I’ll get to blog again! (I have a ton of pics to post too) We’ll be heading out of town of a couple of days and I’m not sure if we’ll have Internet access.
I have so much I want to blog about…
Benji has this amazing imagination; his creations just blow me away!
Noah is starting to talk more and more.
They are such good friends, they play together 75% of the day and it’s just beautiful to watch!
Benji has being BAGING! Everyday to go to school, I don’t think we are gonna homeschool, at least not for now. He is so seeking so bad for the companionship and the “teacher” figure. I know 2 co-ops close by that would very well sooth this needs at this time, when “mama is no fun to be a teacher” but with the moving and so much going on for us I have no brain to think off it all. I think we need to be well settle before I can dedicate decent time to his needs. So most likely he’ll be in pre-school this coming fall and I’m content about that.
We resumed TV time to nothing; they maybe get an hour or so at night, maybe an hour in the morning. Dan & I don’t watch anything but Hell’s Kitchen – and that will be over soon…
Dan & I started watching him last night and the amount of energy he still had in the end of the day.
Man! I’m absolutely overwhelmed with all the changes happening (and they are happening fast!)
I have so many things to do and at the same time I don’t want to put my kids thru a “confinement” (is that the right word?) while is such a beautiful weather outside and they have all this energy they have!
And God is just so awesome - he has kept me “together” everytime I’m about to fall apart all this time!
I have so much to say/blog… and so little time.
Maybe I’ll do a voice recorded blog for a while – lol!
A few pics: (Shay, send me the ones from KI when u have a chance pls!)
Benji Lane play so well together * Shay & Noah

What? Is cheesecake? Let’s go eat!!!! (I can’t believe I actually just published this picture of myself! I’m nuts!)

hellooooooo people!!!
Yes I’m alive! - BTW I love the e-mails and messages of people worried about us! Thanks thanks! It makes me feel BEDY BEDY special! =) xoxos!!! (Priscilla you cracked me up – you having withdraw from our blog! Lol lol)
We just being so busy and I have had ZERO – NONE – NADA computer time! Don’t you just love summer time? I DO!
I’m not even sure I’ll keep on blogging anymore… Priscilla was right, blog.com SUCKS, I don’t want to transfer over 3 years of data, but also I don’t want to start a whole new thing blahhhh! Not sure… I can’t not even remember what I have done this past 2-3 weeks to post, I guess I can go back and check out pics… lots os pool, lots of Boomerang Bay, Kings Island… Park park park. I’m exhausted. My body it’s just totally giving out, cause I just being doing so much!
* I think last week there was some crazy weather, t-storms, tornado warnings… we went down to the basement one night. I actually really got scared for the 2sd time in 6.5 years living in Cincinnati. It was very creepy. Worst party was that Dan and I were out on a date and the boys were home with a sitter, we didn’t even know about the weather until we started driving back home and OHMYSHOES! Let’s just go… The sitter did great, but still it was kind of a “hellooooo you are human, V-U-L-N-E-R-AB-L-E” moments… (Like when Nathan felt out of the dirt bike a couple weeks ago… reality check type thing- like – don’t take life for granted- love yourself – love life love your kids. Life life to the fullest! Be prepared and be in communion with God… You are here now; you may not be here in a minute?
Ya know what I’m saying??
Weird – I know… anyways… No tornado – Thank you dear Lord.. Everyone was nice and after all it felt good all the adrenaline (oh dear, the things that excite you when you become a parent!) Nevermind!
* Monica has spent the night a couple of times (wow, that has being a while since I blogged)… and it was smooth and enjoyable times…
* Jessie had a birthday party and Benji really enjoyed that! It was a fun party for everyone!
* Benji best buddy Isaac wasn’t around this past week, so it was kind of cool, Benji had a lot of time to bond with Grace and they both found out that they really enjoy each other’s company! Also, Benji made friends with this new boy from the street up, Alex, he is really really quiet boy, he is 7, very much in to video games, likes trains like Ben, car race, airplanes and water activities. So it’s being cool to see Benji play with him, learn new stuff and all. Benji got into the video games quickly. And man, he learned fast, now he can turn it on, set up the surround sound (I don’t even know how) and gets the x-box working so he can play video game. It doesn’t bother me, yet… Yes, he is only 3, but at least now during summer time, the time he spends on it’s irrelevant.
I painted the dinning room and the kitchen in the new house; I still have the second coat and a few details to finish. (Soon I’ll tell you something about why I think I shouldn’t done that)
* The church we being going t has a meeting at a local park every Thursday for the kids to meet up and play, we had attended to the meeting and I had really enjoyed the time. I had really connected in that church and I like knowing the people too. In a few weeks VBS will take place, Benji will be able to participate this year and I’ll be volunteering! =) I’m very looking forward to that!
* This past Wednesday night we went out to a couple of bars (I guess the first one was fine, but then we decided to go to a Karaoke one) T, Angela, Daia, David and Julie (she just gotta a new job, so we were celebrating) and man I LOVED IT – I’m SO doing this every couple of weeks… this one place in Lebanon I being on before a fez times before, Angela took me there first… but this other place in Maineville man, it’s the worst karaoke “bar” I ever seeing! Lol but it’s fun! =)
* Tati blessed woman, one day last week said: “Lilian, you are so stressed out, you have so much in your plate, pack a little bag to your kids, I’m driving now to pick them up so you can have the WHOLE DAY all for YOURSELF!”
Man, I got to be honest, I cried… I was so excited! I didn’t know what to do! I had so much! I went out to meet up with Dan for lunch and only got a couple things done… and TA! DA! It was over! But still, what a break! God bless you Tati! Only God knows how much I needed, and it came on the PERFECT day! =)
*I was so excited to talk to Roger and Ari this week - I love to connect with old friends! =)
* Noah’s speech therapy is doing great. This week his “teacher” as Benji calls it, said he cleared said “bah” (bug) & fish.
Last night we got him saying eyes… perfectly. Not sure that this was what he was saying Dan and I made him repeat it a million times throw the night, and sure enough, she says “eyes”… with that “tongue in the middle of the teeth sound” ykwim?
Well, I whole lot more happened but I need to go now… I’ll try to get online later on today or tomorrow and post some more. Enjoy some pictures in the mean time! =) Benji has run from the camera lately so you’ll notice we don’t have as many pictures of him…

Update on Noah
Help me grow came again last week. They did another 6 or 7 assessments. Dan took the afternoon off to be here with us. It was great! All tests came out with good results. He does have speech delay, sounds like this mouth muscles are weak, but nothing we can’t fix with some exercising.
He’ll start group therapy 2 hours/week! Not bad, hu? I’m looking forward for the time I’ll spend with him only, having FUN! =)
PORTUGUES:
O programa “Ajudando a crescer” veio aqui em casa de novo a uma semana atrass, reavaliaram o Noah, com 7 testes, e concluiram que ele esta bem – atrasado na fala mas bem! Gracas a Deus!

A Catch-All Up Post
I mowed.
Yes, I did…
…and only more than a half away to the yard I found out the there was this little button you push and the mower moves it self – I did NOT have to push the mower up and down BY MYSELF! =oP
Great!
I only have one word to describe what I felt: SORE!
But I do love the weather… We have SO much to do around here, outside of this house and hopefully little by little we’ll finish by the end of the summer! Our main concern now it’s getting the dead sod out of our yard and try to get grass out!
With so much good stuff to do outside (not talking about the work – lol – but the fun) I don’t get extra time to sit here and write… and when I do I ended up reading about this horrible case that happened in Brasil, this girl Isabella, 5 yrs old was strangled by her dad and thrown down the window of the 6th floor of their apartment… just a nasty brutality! WOW, it always overwhelms me so I want to leave the computer…
It’s chocking and “everywhere” – like when the Marcus Fisel deal was happening here. Every site, on TV 24/7 – that’s all they talk about! It’s being almost 2 months and they still haven’t being able to arrest the dad and stepmother until like yesterday or something…
But let’s just drop that one and talk about good thing? Yeap – that!
We done so many fun things this past week, we got to go to the:
* Zoo with K – Benji was running away from the “butter” bees (bumble bees)
* Indoor pool at the Y with Daiane – Noah is not afraid to dive in at all – just loves it! He is basically a fish! =)
* Picnic with the Salty Dawgs… and those girls are always so much fun!
Grace came on our car, in the way to the park she turns and say: "Lilian, you know the park we are going is on Lebanon Road, right?" *LMAO*
* Dinner with the FUNNS families on Saturday. -Dan cooked Chinese again – yuuummie! Kids had fun flying a kite and playing with worms!
* Sunday was Brooke’s birthday! Benji was happy to give her a gift & just couldn’t wait for the cake! =)
I got too many pictures so check out this slide show:
…and “BOOM”!!! A whole week has passed! Fun, lots of fun… and I’m beat! =)
but I guess this cold weather is gonna keep us inside for a couple of days, it should be enough to rest and catch up with cleaning and laundry! =)
Totally OT: Vanessa dropped out from Hell's Kitchen, I still can't believe it! Now I like Ben (Even though Cheff doesn't) and on the girls team it's Cristina. I would love to see Jen keeping up with the good work, it's just her attitude that bothers me... anyways...
I’ll finish this post with this beautiful sentence I read at Vinnie’s blog:
“Don’t share your dreams with people, they may take them from you…
… tell them to God, after all He IS the only one that can make them come true!”
Beautiful hu?
XOXO
