Children’s museum - MBC Group

The Brazilian Moms group went to the Children’s museum today and it was great! I personally went to the bible study first (and it was a great chapter – Luke 3 this week and next week, chapter 4 I have a feeling it will be even better!)

Nicole and Jessica drove with us, everyone brought something and ate all together at those picnic tables.

There were 9 families and about 15 kids I believe (please correct me if I’m wrong). Katia and Dari were two new moms who came this time; we were so glad to have them!

Katia is from Brasil and her husband is from Mexico. She has a 2.5 year old boy; Victor. Dari is from Puerto Rico, she has Isabella 2.5 and Nathan who is 5 (He is the sweetest boy EVER!)

Lots of sad things

My dad ad chemo today and he’s not feeling very good (Later we found out it was because his permanent catheter was clogged – now it sort of resolved)

Someone racked on Claudia’s car – all thou we have to thank God she is ok, the car was parked and she was outside of it because she could of being hurt! But still now she has to deal with fixing it and lost the value blah, blah, blah! =(

I guess Carrie is not doing very well – she has the flu! (Get well soon Carrie!)
I’m making a list of how many words and how mane sentences Benjamin speaks and I was quite surprised! I’m still adding words to it as the day goes bye, when I listen to him but so far we got:

Words: 79 – I good portion of it only Dan and I understand – maybe about 40 of them
Sentences: 14

Noah is smiling often – especially when he sees Benji around! So exciting! He is getting very strong too. Enjoying the Mei Tai a lots too… as long as he is around people he is happy!

Interesting:
Have you noiced that most of my posts are blue? I guess I really like blue! In English you say “I’m blue” meaning sad - Funny because in portuguese when you want to say things are GREAT you say: Everything is BLUE! =)))

Noah’s new favorite place!

after mommy’s arms - of course!

Noah is getting too heavy for me to carry around the house 24/7, so i stopped using the sling and started sitting him down on the bouncer or on the swing - but he is not a very big fan of those. Today while I was folding the laundry i set him on the high hair and guess what? he was as happy as could be! =)

I guess it’s because he can see things from up high??! - I also think he is looking a lots like my side of the family!

Halloween Dinner Party

Did you notice that now blog.com is giving me a chance to add more then one Tag?? How cool is that?!!! =)

Last minute Nicole decided to do a Pre-Halloween party dinner - all the kids came in their costumes (even Noah) she hided candy around the house and we made Brazilian Style Stroganoff – it was delicious! With rice and potatoes sticks!!! =) Then for desert we baked fun shaped cookies!!

Greg came over to hang out with Dan and the women set and chat for a couple of hours while the kids ran around burning their sugar!

Partyyyyyyy

The T Party was fun; I missed a lot of people but it was fun at the same time, the 10 of us got to talk and enjoy each other’s company. Having a sitter for all the kids was also a great idea!

Priscilla was sooo helpfull! I even got time to do my hair!!! =)

The Bengals won I didn’t get to watch the game because of the party but I knew they won cause Dan was so perky when he got home!
He left extra early for tailgating and after those two busy days I feel like we haven’t spent quality time together – we are ready for our weekend now!

Busy Saturday

We stopped at Costco this afternoon to order Dan’s contacts (they have the very best price - always!) and ended up shopping there - I really enjoy it even thou we always spend a lot of money!

I had so much I wanted to do and Dan was pretty excited as well so we went to Tri-County & Cincinnati Mills mall and got a bunch of stuff done.Dan got me the cutest bible for sweetest day - i told him I wanted a good one in English because I only have one in Portuguese and for my bible study I want to take one in English! It’s so cute, pink & black cover and nice to understand (Yeap - I do need some pink in my life!)

We also got a double stroller! I’m so excited! The slings always make it easier to go out with the both of them but I think the double stroller will open up for us to try different things - Benji runs away too much when we are in a parking lot of something like that, he is just now learning to climb up by himself and the fact I can just worry about pushing one thing I’ll probably go more to the Y, Stores, Zoo and to the museum! =)

Beth An & Jonathan came by to hang out with us at night - We just had a delicious Natural pumpkin pie from Wild Oats and it was just THE BEST pie I ever had! It tasted better then homemade waaay better! With some Whipped cream on top of course hmmm.

Talking about our friends I miss seeing Tim & Shannon - we saw them often when the baby was born so now I miss them even more…

In the other hand Priscilla is being so great! She may intimidate people when you first meet her because she is so pretty but she has such a good heart! =) She has being a great friend to me - hopefully she feels the same way!
and now I should go to help Dan with cleaning to get ready for the party tomorrow! He is helping me out since they are leaving so early for tailgating… so I’ll help him and maybe we can go to bed earlier! =)

Barfed but still proud

Today I got pretty brave, after the bible study I got both kids in the car and we went grocery shopping at Wild Oats. It was almost lunchtime so I decided to get us some food; I got some sushi for me - Mac & Cheese for Benji. Everything was great and I was pretty proud of myself! Just minutes before we were going to leave, I started nursing Noah while Benji had this Raspberry Puree for desert and guess what?

He didn’t like it, gagged and threw up! All tables were full, lots of people having their lunches and my cute Benji barfing all over the place…

Gracious!

I stopped nursing, now Noah is crying… then Benji started to cry! But I kept my patience and I was really calm and got control of it!
I’m learning not to loose my mind when they both start screaming at the same time, just block it and help whoever one is in more dangerous first… =oP
I still loved eating my sushi, drinking my water and quite a few yogurt pretzels for desert!

The bible study? Oh yes, let me tell ya… Shelly up the street (Very nice lady, she homeschool, has 4 children) Every Friday she gets a few woman together to read the bible and talk about relationships, motherhood and whatever other subjects we like, the kids stay on her basement with a baby sitter ($2/child – what a bargain!) and we have lots of good talk. I’m really enjoyed!

Grace is hanging out here this afternoon, we went to pick her up at Jeannie’s house while Daniela is there working on the garage sale and since her and Benji are having a good time together I got to post some of my day that were “draft” at blog.com!

And this afternoon around 2:30pm Marcia’s baby was born! A 7#s 4oz and 20 inches long beautiful girl! =)

What a day!

Today was one of those days when seems like everything goes wrong, but it turned out ok in the end of it! - The worst was when I lost the keys to the rental Van we had while my van was at service!

Andrea was coming over for lunch and Mike for dinner… then Mike called and came for lunch! (Not nearly as bad as I expected – but still strange)
She looks real cute with her belly – it’s going to be a boy! =)

I went to the Dr to get IUD “installed” LOL – I’m pretty happy with it so far…

Mike went out to a park with Benji, I could never do it with him and we met up later at TJ Maxx & waited for Dan to have some dinner.

I had sooo much laundry to catch up – Noah had this “explosive” poop while I was changing him in my bed – he got poop on the pillows, the comforter – EVERYWHERE!

Then Benji started coughing and barfed ALL over his bed: his PJ’s, bedding, pillows – Blah! =oP

I's not a T

He certainly has a hard time with the C, But I’m not worried; yet!

Nowse = Nouse

Jessita = Jessica

Teese - Cheese

Noah is trying to sit down already - lots of smiles!
And Benji - “bugger man” pick his nose and cleans on Noah’s hand! Can you believe it?????? =oP

Stuck in Traffic

It’s about 10 PM and we are entering Ohio trying to get back home from our trip. What was supposed to be like a 3 hours drive became 6 when we got stuck in traffic because of a horrible accident involving 2 cars and a semi truck that killed I think 6 people.

Thank God for our Van – we would have had a thought time without it.

Benji has being amazing! He is hanging in there on his car seat for about 5 hours now – of course the DVD helped also I think he is much happier in this car then my old one! Because of this delay Benji got more TV time then what he would of for a whole week! =oP

Noah is sleeping – and so should I be because of such a long nap I have a feeling that we’ll have a long long night!
The service was awesome today – very very “feeling”. Too bad we had to rush home (because Dan got a call from Facs =oP)

The Bengals play tomorrow against TB – I’m actually looking forward to this game… we are probably going to watch it from home.

I can’t believe how cold is out here!

Yesterday Tati, Nicole, Dani & all the kids came over for chili, it was a lot of fun… then we did each other’s nails and stuff… We talked our mouths off! =oP

B-day @ the Y, Pool and up-dates!

Today we went to the Y for Grace’s Birthday party with the other brazilian families… it was such a nice time - we headed to the pool after we had cupcakes! (I used rainbow chips icing - hmmmm!) Oh Priscilla!!!! Why did you tell me about this? It’s delicious, I can’t stop eating!

Benji had the best time at the pool - I felt horrible because he got a blister from his swimming shoes =(

I did breastfeed Noah in the pool area, by the door, in the parking lot - everywhere! I want to get a group of moms to sit down in front of that Sandra’s office and breastfeed their babies!! - LOL!

Dad has chemo again tomorrow… we are afraid this time around he’ll feel even more sick. Hopefuly not! Patty also is going to have surgery on Monday. She’ll be off work for 2 months!

I forgot to post about this but last week Benji had food poisining - it was horrible… He never barfs - and it was just so sad to watch him. That’s one thing that you feel pretty bad about it ’cause there’s not much you can do to make them feel better!

He also dropped a whole thing of PINK nail polish in the middle of out living room carpet… I don’t have to mentioned that it didn’t come off! I wanted to cry!

We got Benji’s custome (??) for Haloween - It’s Pablo from Backyardigans and he is afraid of it! We being practicing around the house so he’ll be used to by then…

Who has the funniest face?

Benji’s fisrt atempt of Mr. Potato Head or himself???? (Look the October album there’s a better one there where he got the arms, eyes and nose right)

His Bengals outfit? - No coments!!!

They did horrible! Dan came back home pretty upset… it’s funny how this was the first game he really didn’t want to go but since he has season tickets he didn’t want to “waist” them… Carrie came over to watch it with me - even though they lost we had a good time! =)
