"Where will our leaf blow??..."

Noah has being learning about Fall in preschool, all about the leafs falling and the wind...


Often his teacher hangs the kids work outside the door for parents to see. Today when I get to school there was a new work and I couldn't help but shade a few tears.


The teacher's page said "Where will our leaf blow..."  and each child colored theirs with fall colors, and the teacher wrote theirs answers; some said "to Kings Island", some said "to the Park"....

Noah's said: "to my Grandpa's house to see him"


He also wrote "Elan" to his best knowledge, if you notice it, there is a L, a E sideways, a N and a A

We all being thinking of you grandpa - each day... all day... Praying and we hope we get to see you soon!!!

Are my shoes “Sketchers”?

Ben came to me and asked: - Are my shoes “Sketchers”?

We talked about it. When Dan got home he talked even more – what Sketchers are, that they don't make more or less cool – where he heard that and all that stuff...
On my end I was just shocked to know that my 4 yr old already knows about “cool” shoes and things like that. Worst – or better, I'm not sure, he didn't learn that from friends at school; worst in the meaning that the influence is all over, our crazy society and it's “rules”; better, cause I was still debating the home schooling situation and after that I'll have one more “check mark” on my public school list, specially being in such a good school district like the one we are.

He learned about Sketchers with a family friend that we would of seen doing HS or not. So, there, it's every where and I guess my motives are not enough at this point for me to go through with it!

About Benji

Benji has being talking a lot about Jesus, questions like “why did he die?”, “How old was Him?” and comments like “I miss Jesus, He needs to come back soon”, “He lives in my heart, He lives everywhere”
So a couple of days ago Benji found a flute and was playing is so loud – all over the house and we could not even listen to each other. So at some point I asked him to stop [laying the flute for a while, he looked up and asked:
“Jesus, do you like my music? - Ok, thank you!”

He looked back at me and said “Jesus like my music – so I’m gonna keep on playing”

His pre-school teacher, Mrs. C sent us an e-mail, Benjamin was SO excited! He wanted to see Mrs. C in the web cam right there and show her how he can write his name. I think that hit him hard because for a few hours he was talking about going back to “Cinci a di”

He misses school a lot and it was so happy to get that e-mail! Every store we go in that has nick necks he’ll ask me to “Buy something to Mrs. Chilton, Mrs. Fair and Grant!”

He is surprising me every minute, coming out with new words in Portuguese and just being such a good almost 4 yrs old. He told his dad a saying in Portuguese today “Now it’s a good time to play, if you want to play, do it, if you don’t you can’t complain later on that you didn’t play”

He is in love with writting his name (I need to take a pic or scan his papers!) - also he is so proud to say his full name!!

First day of school for Benjamin

This past August Benjamin started pre-school. He was just SO happy to go! Noah in the other hand was devastated! He must think “How come Benji is getting into this fun room and I don’t get to go in?”


At first he was upset not to see Mrs. P & Mrs. M (from HMG) since that was his referls from what teachers and school would be but he got over soon. He loves Mrs C now, He loved loved loves Mrs King - had an incredible connection with her (but hse is now leaving ) but seems to enjoy Mrs. Fair very we much too! So looks like this will be a fun school year!

So - yes! We have a happy pre-schooler! =)
He even had a field trip already! =)))

And was running is - couldn’t wait! As we get in there he saind (and still does) “You can go now mom, just come pick me up later!”

btw - this backpack looks big - but it’s not heavy at all!!!
