Recent studies have shown that getting 10,000 steps (5 miles) per day improves fitness levels and promotes a healthy, more productive and confident lifestyle. Do you know how many steps you take each day? A non-active person may only average 900 to 3,000 steps each day. A reasonable goal for most people is to increase average daily steps each week by 500 per day until you can easily average 10,000 per day.
