Just like a flower is Noah !!! & A cool one from Benji!

Like a flower that blooms overnight…

Today - Noah is talking: (in order of understandbility)

Dada
More (and signs!)
Ball
Mama
He signs”thank you” on his own special way, touching his forhead!
Immitates the train “Tchooo tchooo”
And a lion “Grrrrrr” =)

Benjamin

Yeap! Kids say the darnest things! My 2.5 year old things I’m ”as big as the elephant we saw at the zoo mama, with all the manimals !”     -I guess I better start on a diet soon!

He is very active and all over the place, always remember where his toys are, what he and other people own and the cutest latest is that he reads books for us before bed time…
… so today he found a card; a thank you note; somewhere in the house and this is him reading it:

“Its Mikey Mouse and a birthday, you get it… *a pause here* you come you get  bfiday cake

PS (yes - he said P S ) There is a Mickey Mouse standing up. PS the end.
HAHAHAHA
I can’t help myself but laugh! - where did he get that????

Our first (and hopefully only) 911 call

So - every mom at some point called poison control… (we done twice) also every mom got a child that dialed 911 as a mistake - or just out of curiosity.
This week we had out first “ooops” 911 call!

Noah did it - he talked to the dispatcher when I heard something and got the phone from him….they still sended someone to check up on us - my dear!
The interesting part of it to me is that I looked at the phone, on “redial” to see what he dialed and it was 0591111
Isn’t that interesting?

Some funny conversations

Benji: Mom, I want chocolate milk

Me: Hot or Cold?

Benji: Mom… not hot and not cold. I want it warm
….

Benji: Ma, what are you doing?

Me: I’m writing an e-mail.

Benji: An-mail? I see…
….

The shocker: Came home he was watching TV, I asked how he was

“I’m so happy you are home mama, I’m watching Thomas the Blue, Noah is night nights, dad was mad and he said Fuck”

We never cuss in front of him, so it was interesting to see he knew that was something “bad” to do and he was telling on dad. LOL

If that wasn’t enough from now on I can’t watch my shows around him…

I was watching Family Guy and he was playing with trains, kinda far from the great room, did not look like he was paying any attention, then he laughed at something they said at the show, turned to me and said:

“Mom, this is a funny show”

Benjamin knows:
* The ABC’s
* Recognizes numbers x letters
* All shapes and colors

Positivism (not even sure that is actually a word)

A nice big waive of “positivism” hit me this past couple of days, and I like it! (Insert happy funny voice here)

Even the parts that are not working out so great don’t drain me out, so it’s a cool balance.

↓s

I being to the Dr., my colesteral & blood preasure are high and that is a big *NOT GOOD* specially for someone in my age. Need to do something about it. I’m heavier then I ever being – even while pregnant I didn’t weight as much as I do right now – the problem is that it does not bother me enough to do something about it.

Now I’ll have to because it’s not just “looks” but we are talking about my health!
This past Tuesday I tried a new med for migraine but it didn’t do much! I was very desapointed! =(
↑s

Everyone else is getting sick, everyone but me and the boys! (Urru!!) GTJ!!!

The boys are just sweet loving kids, they are amazing and they make my life full of joy! They are the best gift from God! =)

Kids & Video Games

I never thought Benji would be into playing video games so early. He is always asking to play Monica’s so I opened a Nintendo DS we have here to take to Tia Ro when we go to Brasil and let me tell ya… his boy loves it!

He call “My video game with the crayon”

He doesn’t play more then once or twice a week - I think he is too young for it, but when he does, the little time he spends with it, believe me, he is freaking concentrated on it!

People, oh people...

People surprise me – all the time. I can never know that to aspect. Some for the better, some for the worst…

And those you think you can count on you absolutely can’t when you most need them – and when you are out of options and solutions, someone you never thought about reaches out to you and everything works way better then what we imagined when everything was going down the drains. If that makes any sense…

A very wet Zoo

We made to the zoo today with Kristen and Mike, it’s sounded like a perfect day until we leave the membership office and KABOON – it’s pouring rain!

Very wet, we have a membership and could go back at anytime but Benji was so frustrated with the idea of not visiting the elephants, that was all he talked about for 2 days…. we still managed to show Benji the elephants, the discovery center and a couple train rides.

We headed to Mike’s house to dry and I actually took a nice hot shower and Kirsten cooked us dinner. I tried for the first time “Spaghetti squash” I absolutely enjoyed it.

Dan got a ride there, and we all headed back home together…

FINALY!!!!

The Bengals won a game! 38 x 31 Jets

And Dan made the best sandwiches EVER for tailgating!

TV

Of couse we set goals to limit our tv time this fall/winter, so at first we picked just a couple of show. But wait! We can DVR and watch 3x faster in a quiet environment after the kids are in bed! So that became 5x more shows that we expected! LOL So we are watching:

The Office – Awesome as usual. It’s the best!

Law & Order – Not need to comment.

Kid Nation – I really enjoy this show – so does Dan. Benji even watches it with us… don’t understand much but watches it.

Survivor – Just because we used to enjoy – but to be honest it lost it. This one is full of “beautiful & strong” people and it just feels like set up… people just talk about “the way I play the game” … anyways… it’s just getting old!

Grey’s Anatomy – Even Meredith being as annoying as can be I still enjoy this show.

Private Practice – So far ok. I’m giving it a shot, we’ll see.

Carpoolers – I’m LOVING it! A lots of: “man are the best and yes we(man) are animals, we love sex and woman are dumb” kind of jokes but wait – 2 & ½ Man is like that also and we watch it!!!

2 & ½ Man – The comment is just above…

Desperate Housewife – Not important but I like to watch when I have a chance

So here is at least 5 hours!! FIVE!!! Five!!!! Five hours in front of the TV every week! Way more then I would like to but at least Dan & I do it together cuddling in the couch. I enjoy listening to “Singing Bee” while I cook dinner or do dishes if that is on…

Besides that we don’t watch anything else anyways… so I guess it’s all right.

We got a new mattress!!! FREE!

Dan was always complaining that out mattress sucked that it was falling a part blah blah blah…

He always asked me to call the co. because it had a 10 yrs warranty. I never did… so times goes by and he called. They came out to measure our mattress and let me tell ya: When I took the mattress cover/pad out I was choked! Our mattress really was falling a part!!! The guys measured and got back with us a few days later, the result was that we were approved for a replacement.

Not just that but they didn’t make our mattress anymore (It was only 3 yrs old) so they gave us an upgrade. It was originally $600 and we paid $400 for our mattress on sale and we just got this new one AWESOME $1220 worth for FREE and free delivery and everything!!!

How cool was that???

Good taste in early age…

So my two year asked me in the car this morning:

Mommy, can we listen to “the ring of fire” ???

So I browse my ipod for Johnny Cash, play it and he sings in the back of my van:

“Burns, burns, burns the ring of fire…”
“Down, down, down…”

Song is over and then came:
Mommy, can we hear “the ring of fire” again???? Pleeeeeeeeeease?”

Dear – we drove downtown Cincinnati –home (35 mins) listening to the ring of fire, over and over again….

September so far

As you can see our September has being busy – no time to post – not time to spare!
We are *on going* 24/7 and there’s a lot more coming our way! But we are pretty happy!
Dan just came back from Florida and back to work after a 6 days vacation; he went down with his BFF (LOL) from high-school and apparently they had a BLAST! They got to see Dolphins, Manatees and Wales (?); do a bunch of guy stuff and more then anything – RELAX!
We missed dad dearly! The boys REALLY had a hard time – it scares me because I don’t think Dan will be able to stay in Brazil as long as we will and the boys are just gonna miss him A LOT! –All thou I believe it’s much hard for those you are left behind…!
We spent lots of time with Dani, Grace and Isaac – they had a few sleepovers and that was fun (except the fact Dani and I had a total of 5 hours sleep in like 3 days)

We totally treated ourselves with nice breakfasts (Danish, donuts and chocolate crescents) – Bob Evans a couple of times and ice coffees most mornings while the guys were gone; after all we had a “vacation” too. Dan got us quite a few gifts.

Kristen came by Thursday night and she cooked a AWESOME stir-fry for us! Yuuuumie K! We had the best time – just talking shit and drinking some wine – some of the neighbors joined us and it became a private party pretty quickly!

We also got to spend some time with Cindy and that was great! The kids had the best time at her place – she treats them like kids and they LOVE IT so us moms had a break too and C is just funny and good to be around, I always learn a lots from her!

The Bengals game on Monday was pretty awesome! They won.

Noah has changed a lots – it’s like he went from the baby stage to a 1 year old. He is so independent and busy. He is drinking Goat and Cow’s milk out of a sip cup and *finally* enjoying solid food!

Every morning when Dan leaves for work Noah stay at the door sobbing, he doesn’t want me or anything else…. He just wants his daddy! I can wait until we can do some serious life changing decisions. Can’t imagine how this breaks Dan’s heart every morning =(

Benji is in love with Pancakes, he calls them “Birthday Cake” and is asking me all day long to watch “Thomas & friends” -I find this the most boring cartoon EVER!
Tati’s mom leaving in a couple days, we saw Daniela’s parents & family that just got here and I just can’t wait to see mine!!!!

I PASSED!!!!! =)))))))))

I passed my immigration test!!!
10 oral questions, something to read, something to write and
Oh yeah! Oh yeah!  I did it! I did it!
A few more weeks and I’ll be an American!!!!
______* ______
BTW – (totally different subject) – I forgot to mention a few weeks ago we had a camp out on Tati’s backyard??? Benji loved playing in the fire, roasting marshmallows and hot dogs! Pictures will come – eventually
Dary will have surgery next week – Cindy had hers today and sounds like she is hanging in there!

A funny one…

Benji does not like to see my breast – not even for a second! If while feeding, Noah stops to look around and my breast is uncovered Benji used to freak out and try to cover up by bringing my shirt down.
This week Benji looked at me while I was nursing and said:

- Mama, Can you putt away your ‘bottle of milk’ ???

2 totally different posts

1. Wild Oats Sold! =))) That is good news! I think we'll get more variety and better prices with Whole Foods!

2.

I was doing my laundry when....

…I heard Noah crying in the living room, so I walked over there:

Benji: Mooooooooom, Noah is crying!
Me: Why?
B: Because I hit him in the head!!!  (He didn’t even give me time to say and continued…)
B: With this bridge mommy, I used this bridge…(a plastic toy)
M: Why Benji? Why did you do these? (while helping Noah)
B: He was blanking (breaking) my tracks, I’m playing trains and I hit him! (No signs of feelieng guilty here - at all!)
M: Benji – that was not nice, Noah is a baby he wants to play with you blah blah blah… + blah blah blah…
B: Sorry Noah! Then he holds my face and say: Mommy, I said sorry!!!
M: Thanks Benji – what about a big hug?
Benji hugged Noah, Noah smiled, tears running down his face
B: I think he needs that “Nemo” from the freezer mommy (a reusable fish shaped like ice pack we have)

Naked w/ boots, blue IC & my colegas! lol

Last Saturday night Dan, me & the kids went to KI. Who would think we would of have such a nice time? Very few people; a much cooler weather, we had a good time & Dang!!! That blue ice cream YUMMM…

Since then I’m craving that IC…

These week we enjoyed Dad & Grandpa all day long, then this afternoon while they hanged out with Mike P. we went to KI for an hour and so. After we headed to Simone’s house for a nice nice time! We had a “dinner” lunchoun, all the kids had the best time! Noah didn’t even care where I was, he wanted to play play play – there was so much toys there so both of my kids had a blast! =) Then I got home and

“Ahhhhh was at KI and didn’t get the Blue IC!”

My dear, how could I have done that???? Anyways…

My “Colegas” lol -It was a nice time today uh? We GOT to do it again! I loved our time scrapbooking last week but today was *very* good! =)

I have a ton of pictures to post, if I ever find the time – You’ll see them here…

Funny one:
- Benji really enjoys the song “Boots” from Laurie Berkner – and I just got him a pair of “frog” boots for $3.50!!!

We are also potty training – and for that to go easier on us I’ll take his diaper off during the day when it’s just him and I. So theirs is Benji – running in circles – stomping around as the song says – naked wearing his frog boots! =)

*Tomorrow we’ll take Benji to the Bengals game – since it’s a pre season and the weather is nice! I think he is going to love it! =)
