Saturday morning I went to the hospital 7am to drop off my 24-hour urine for the test, and the people didn’t realize that I had to draw blood too so as soon as I get home they call me to go back for that. Let’s not talk about ignorants or waist of time! - More I go to hospitals less I like them.
We were all still pretty beat up from the last couple of days (Chuck-e-Cheeses broke my back!), but still managed to have a fun garage sale. We didn’t make any more $ then what we expected & closed it down earlier…
Everybody crashed after lunch because it was so hot outside during the garage sale, so we all took a quite long nap and later in the day we watched “Cheaper by the Dozen 2”. -It was ok.
Sunday was more than a crazy day, I didn’t have time to breath!!!
We met Mel & Rufs at Swain Park to play basketball; Benji loved their play area, the ducks and the ball! We went grocery shopping, (like big groceries - enough for 3 weeks) to make sure we have everything in case the baby comes. We ran home, put whatever needed to be refrigerated and went right out to have dinner w/ the Lucas’s.
Live and learn lessons of the week: We can’t go bowling with a 17-month-old boy! – We knew it wouldn’t be easy but insisted. And tho tell you the truth he was pretty good; better than expected!
One thing bugging me; and I know that this is normal in households that have kids, but I’m getting frustrated: *Every single thing in this house has stains* -The couch, the carpet, the walls… it is freaking me out! They are not little ones either – they are like black dark big ones! Grr. -We only have 1 kid! Not sure how we can manage to do that!
I’m heading to the dr. now… to check my BP. My headache is being following me around since Thursday (and it’s a bad bad on) and today onether symptom for pre-eclampsia came: nausea. - Not fun!
A blog you can read up stories about the G. Family around the 513
- Brazil or
somewhere in between *Connect here with me -or- whatever is important in our lives!
If nothing else, you'll get a few good laughs out of my English!...
Staying busy
We were at Tri-County area Thursday running errands then Tati called: “It’s raining, let’s do something indoors w/ the kids, let’s go to Chuck-e-Cheeses” So we did it!
That’s not one of my favorite places but Benjamin had a blast, we had about 30 tokens and got really cool prizes, I think we ended up with about 1400 points to trade for prizes! We got a place/bowl/silver wear set, a couple of goodie bags (to share with Monica – and she got to pick something too), a snack holder and another few little things!
Benji played *a lots* and ate very well too, as usual.
This morning was impressive: Benji actually played by himself in the garage while we set up the things for the garage sale.
After that we left to downtown too meet with uncle Mike for lunch and so Claudia could see the Church!
It (The Church) looks much better now then the last time we were there. IT’s amazing how you see different things every time you are back into the same place. Also felt that way driving to it…
I really hope Mike succeeds, it’s a cool place and such a great idea! Check it out: www.churchvenue.com
This place reminds me a lot of our city in Brazil, downtown were the bars are. I so can picture working out to be “the place” to go!
We had lunch at Dewey’s, the food was delicious and we had a great time. We fought w/ Mike to see who would take the leftover pizza home & now I’m glad we did because it was great for dinner!!!
We headed to the zoo, by then there was no rain, we met w/ Nicole, Daniela, Tati along with all the kids. Benji was *sooooo excited* to see Jessica!! He is standing in front of her, holding her face, like “Hey, see.. I’m here”
We left there pretty late and didn’t make home till about 8 pm. No need to say that everyone was bit up!
I being to the Dr. pretty much everyday this week. Blood pressre it’s not good still - High too high and low too low. A little trace of protein in my urine, swalling a little more each day. I guess I’m *not* helping my body keeping it busy at all times. But I feel great even thou all this is goind on. I walked like a camel at the zoo and still don’t feel so tired, but lots of Charlie Horses…

“Boo’s boos”
This morning we all set in front of the TV while we had breakfast – we cracked up with Benji’s new “words”:
“Boo’s boos”
He’ll move his hands as if he was doing Blue’s Clues!! - Waaaay too cute!!!
Forget about Backyardigans, this is the “hit” right now! The coolest is that we have lots of Blues Clues things around the house, a Blue Doll, books, a Note book…
Oh - Yeah, I almost forgot: He’ll also sign ‘Put in your notebook!!’ too
- You know what? He’s so smart!!! =)
Another new word: “come” in add to the hand sign…
Eating cheese bread for lunch and loving it! =)

Birthdays in July
Yesterday was Frances birthday, so we took her out for dinner tonight, we met at “The Works” right by her house in downtown Loveland. Claudia & Mike were there too. It is a pretty nice place, with an ice cream shop, the bike trail and now a little park!
It was my second time in that restaurant and both times we experienced *great food* and *great service!* (It’s rare these days when you get to have both! – Sometimes even one of them!) Everything was really good!
Benji was EXCELENT! In a great mood all night, kissing, hugging, sharing his food! He ate very well: Fruits, chicken and even some salad!
After, we stopped by Grandma’s house and ended up staying late… it was a pretty good time! Grandma had a delicious cake; it was a Boston cream pie or something like that –Not too sweet, but jut right!
Steve was there as well. It’s so cool the way he worries about me. Ike he is not family… I mean he is Frances husband not he is really not related to us. He is always asking about us, wanting to be part of the family, participate and stuff.
Tomorrow is Grant’s birthday and next week will be Elan’s

No time to post - but everything is ok! =)
In the mean time, something to think about it, by GD (at least performed by them):
Let us put men and women together, see which one is smarter,
Some say men, but I say no, women got the men like a puppet show.
It ain’t me it’s the people that say, men are leading women astray,
I say, it’s the women today, smarter than the men in every way.
Little boy sitting in the corner and cry, big man come and ask him why,
He said “I can’t do what the big boys do”, the man sat down and he cried too.
It ain’t me it’s the people that say, men are leading women astray,
I say, it’s the women today, smarter than the men in every way.
Ever since the world began women been imitating the ways of men,
But listen cause I’ve got a plan, give it up just don’t try to understand.
It ain’t me it’s the people that say, men are leading women astray,
I say, it’s the women today, smarter than the men in every way.
That’s right the women are smarter, the women are smarted that’s right!!!!!

Odd morning
I woke up this morning and got a few things done around the house. It’s fairyly clean around here so I wont start anything right now, laundry is going on, Benjamin is still a sleep… I need to go to the bank and run errands but that will be in the afternoon. Eat breakfast… turn on the TV, it’s 10 am and the only decent show: Ellen Degeneres is a re-run so I found myself with NOTHING TO DO!!! I should go back to bed but I can’t do it!
So I decided to stop by and say hello since it’s being forever…
We had a thought night, we being having them since Sunday, I think it’s because we went to concert and that mass it up Benji who since it’s being horrible at night time – on top of it he has a cold and I suspect there is a molar coming… I haven’t ad a chance to stick my finger and feel it but I’m pretty sure by the way he’s being acting.
So, the concert, “Little Feet” played *for free* in Sycamore Twp. this past Sunday. I really liked their music! I think we all had a good time; Benji was the only cranky one.
Before that on Sunday morning Dan helped me “Nest” a little organizing Benji’s closet, then the baby’s closet. That afternoon we went to a cookout at France’s house for her birthday, all Steve’s kids were there, one of them, (I can’t ever remember their names) is preggo too due 3 weeks after me; it’ll be fun in a couple of years…
Everything was good; then we headed to the concert… it was so hot it was unbelievable…
I’m starting to swallow a little, my feet are pretty big. Last night I felt so sick, shacking out of the blue, back ache, headache, palpitations, for a minute I though I was going into labor… then I felt asleep… I was just tired – exhausted!
And guess what? Benjamin is up so I’ll be back another time!

4 in 1
Sunday: Tati’s shower was good; different to me – everyone was quiet and shy! –I’m so used to people coming over to our house and partying, feeling like they are @ home, staying until late at night…
To tell the truth it was kind of neat! By 4pm everyone was gone and we had cleaned pretty much everything!
- She said she had a good time and got some nice gifts! That was the intention! =)
Mike came over with Maceo in the afternoon… Italy won the WC.
The weekend was gone in a blink of an eye…
I dreamed again about breastfeeding, the baby was like 5 days old and I forgot to breastfeed him - he was hungry! Then he eat and it was smooth and easy!
Monday we tried to catch up with work around the house here – The day was GONE!
Tuesday we ran errands, Daniela came over for lunch with her mom and the kids, then in the afternoon we stopped by McD’s in Lebanon to meet with Katie, Fynn, Clover and Audrey (She is such a good baby! I want to hold her all day to see if Baby #2 will be good like her! LOL) then another day flew by…
[Back on 07/22 to add a comment, (I want to remember this- it was cute): When we met Katie & kids at McD’s that day Fynn got a Chicken sandwich. He asked his mom to take the lettuce & mayonnaise out. I never told Dan about this “detail”… So today we were driving somewhere late and Dan was starving, nothing else around but a McD’s so we got him a meal and a Chicken Sandwich. He turns and says: “Love, would you please take the lettuce & mayonnaise out?”]
I still haven’t even started the things I want to do around here before this baby comes…
I’m also afraid of how Benjamin is going to react when Claudia leaves, he is getting more and more attached to her everyday! He is going to suffer and miss her a lots - I’m sure!
Wednesday: Counting Crows is having a concert tonight at the River’s Bend. Goo goo Dolls will be doing a special as well – No one wants to go with me – so I’m not going!
I think there’s a big wave of blues coming towards me. – Everything it’s ok, my sister is here, we are having a good time but still – I can fee I’m going down. It may just be hormones…
Priscilla gave me a nice complement the other day (IT really means a lot to me, Pri - REALLY) But maybe I need to start taking a little bit more care of myself… Maybe I need a make over! A nice hair cut or something!
I’m happy to be home - I really am! But just down and depressed for some reason!
Maybe is just my unconscious starting to freak out about our bills now that I’m not working anymore… We canceled a lot of things and cut budget for other stuff but I know it’ll be thought. And I’m scared! I know we can leave in a budget – I’m just concerned that all we are doing is not going to be enough!
Julie came by, she is having a C-Section on the 20th - she had too much problems the past 2 biths so she decided to go with a C-Section! She’s brave!!!! =) I think she looks really good and ready to go! =)
… And here is Claudia over my shoulders reading and correcting my typos… So, you’ll know when she leaves by my “funny sounding” posts!

Feeling Fishy
Zu - Daniela’s mom had cooked fish the past couple of days, something I don’t know what it was yesterday and Salmon today. They sort of invited me for lunch both days… Hmmm So yummy! The first day they did call, we had planned already for a few days, but then today I was a little concerned of being alone at home with Benji, no car and lots of things happening… A little blood and lots of contractions in the past couple of days, so I just had her coming by to pick me up!
Benji had a huge plate, both days! -He always have fun with her kids, and all the different toys, he plays very well with Isaac!

Boys meet world!
No time to write - just wanted to add a note: ~ AMY IS HAVING A BOY!!!!! =)
How fun is that? From 9 preggo friends we have around us at least 7 are having boys!! All between now & December!
Nice for the boys… lots of fun! (And it’ll get scary in about 15 years!!!)

Shower, Welcoming party and lots of baby boys…
Another baby boy!!! - Scott & Jamie found out theirs is a boy too! - Lots of friends for Benji and … Baby Boy #2 (Still no name!)
I think I’ll start to call him Carter and see how I feel about it! Landon, or Patrick, or Jack!
There are so many boys coming so we better pick a name soon before someone else chooses first! (It always sounds like you copied - so I rater not!)
We could have Franklin for Benjamin & Franklin ~ LOL
Or Jerry for Ben & Jerry!!! - This one sounds more yummie! =)
This past week I had my 35 weeks appointment - everything seems to be good. I gained a lot of weight this past month, more then I have during the whole pregnancy - 7#s that put me way over 200 #s. Oh well! - But one good thing is that I feel more energetic! Maybe Claudia just cheer me up or the help running after Benjamin all day! =)
I being really busy since Clau got here as I have opportunity to do so many things I wanted and never found a way to do it without help - Either because of Benjamin, or the pregnancy or just because they were real big projects.
Tati’s baby shower is tomorrow, I’m excited!
I finished the party favors yesterday, they are very cute and today I started working on an embossed photo album to give to her tomorrow. I still need to pick up the cake we ordered today and garlic bread. Also can’t forget the drinks!
Claudia, Amy & I got a few basic items and made a basket for her as well.
I wanted to crochet her something pretty but I’m too hot to touch yarns! (BTW - Meyers had all their yarn on sale - 40 to 60% off) - To crochet things for Benjamin was a whole lot easier because it was winter (And it feels nice to set a blanket or a sweater on your lap while working) and he wasn’t around!!! =) So I fear Tati won’t get anything handmade from me and all Baby 2 will get as far as crochet things from mama is Benji’s hand-me-downs!
I got a few games prepared, 3 of them to be exact and I need to wrap the prizes… There’s a whole lot more involved into a baby shower then what you imagine! It’s quite a lot of work - Between invitations, food, decoration, games and party favors you can work hours on it! (Also spend all kinds of money!) - Hey, don’t take me wrong, I’m VERY glad to do it! Besides I did get a lot of help! (Thanks Dani, Claudia, Simone and Cindy!)
My Welcoming party will be in the 22sd of July and that should be lots of fun! We’ll do a “Festa Junina” which is a “traditional” party we have in Brasil only on the months of June and July! It has a very traditional menu as well. I think it’ll be fun!
We are gathering the “typical” make-up, hats & clothing so anyone how wants to dress up for the party can do it so…
I’ll rent a popcorn machine and Claudia brought from Brasil 4 or 5 of the typical “deserts” we have on Festas Junina and I have some Brazilian wine at home to make the drink…
I’ll make a trip to Jungle Jims this week and see what I can find or maybe order from SendexNet!
I really hope I don’t go into labor before that because I’m sooo looking forward to this party! =)
It’ll feel like home – I’m sure!
I guess there’s a cool concert at Coney Island tonight, but $25,00/person It’ll get a little spicy for all 3 of us! =(
Not a biggie as we can always use the night to rest! (oh - this sounds like old people!)

Oh no1 Xuxa again???????
Benji distinctly points to the TV and asks for XUXA!
Oh boy! As much as I like him to watch videos in Portuguese I wonder how much of that for good!
Its summer! - It’s nice out! Let’s go play on the deck my dear! =)
We went to the pool today at Lisa’s house and he loved playing in the water - wasn’t jealous of the other kids playing or sitting by me and he was just great if sharing! Very brave into the water what may concern me a little!
More I learn about Benji’s needs, personality & feelings the more I notice he is happy & a very easy going guy, everything it’s cool for him unless he’s hungry! (that’s when the tantrums happen) -I guess he got that from Dan! =)

4th of July
I’m *SO* mad – We missed the parade today. I could swear it started at 11 am; I talked to some friends right before we left home & it was almost over. I’m glad we didn’t make all the way there to find that out because then I would be REAL made! I felt bad for Claudia who never saw it before! I can’t get over it!
We hanged out at a friend’s house in the afternoon to celebrate the 4th! The food was very good and we had a good time. Dan seasoned some steaks – it was awesome and another Brazilian couple brought a “Picanha” Hmmm! Delicioso!
Again I was glad for not having anything at our place when we got back and the house was… not necessarily clean but at least in order!
Benji had a blast with boys around his age and lots of toys. The bad weather did not affect us in any way – and our grass was very happy! I’m still very nervous for how he’s going to act when the baby comes. I with it could happen while Claudia is here – things would be much easier!
I got her to help me with the folders for the mom’s group. With all the paper I want to include a CD with about 20 kid’s songs in Portuguese as well a bumper sticker with the “logo” I made. We are already with 12 moms connected to the group community!
Lebanon had fireworks last night (I never knew that). It was gorgeous! We sat on our deck and got to see Mason’s, a little of Kings Island from the front yard, lots of people in the neighborhood and LOTS from City of Lebanon. Apparently Lebanon spent thousands of dollars in fireworks! If I knew it I would have invited people over because it was pretty neat! Especially because we never had to deal with parking, crowds or anything like that! It was literally like from like 9:30-11PM non-stop!
Julie was having pretty bad contractions a couple of days ago, I wonder if she went in labor – she said to Claudia she would call but you never know what it’s gonna go thru your mind during labor!
Kroger had some very good sales on organic items… as well on pop and ice cream (Signs!) Then by the cashier I saw this baby names book and got it…
Dan said: “I think I’m ok w/ Carter” – WOW! Are we finally agreeing on something? I wonder why he changed his mind. Maybe because I don’t care for Carter anymore? LOL
I came up with Landon but not sure since it’s a neighborhood pretty close to here. Patrick it’s cool but because of Sponge Bob’s friend I think it would be a reason to tease the little guy! Felipe is still an option as well.
Amy had the perfect idea: Tati is having a boy so she should name him Ross – he would be Monica’s brother (Daaa – of course) She would name her baby either Pheebe or Joe – We’ll have Chandler what makes al our kids all FRIENDS!!! =)
Hey, when we talked about it sounded pretty funny ok? – If you haven’t laugh don’t do it now! =oP

Brasil is out…
Claudia got here safe – thank God! She got asked a few extra questions at the immigration then usual, it kind of scared me but she is here – that’s what it matters!
With her came a lot of things to do! I never realized how popular she is in Cincy
The phone hasn’t stopped – people over all the time since the first night!
Bu I don’t care to share as long as I have her close!
We had so much to catch up on!
I don’t think Benji recognized her – but it didn’t take long for him to feel very comfortable with her! It’s like she is made of honey and kids are bees! Never saw one who didn’t like her!
Friday we got to take Benji to the park for a coupe of hours then I organized the garage – Hey we can actually fit two cars in there now! =)
Tati’s birthday was Saturday – so she had a party at her house and that was fun. I met I think 3 or 4 new Brazilian couples (I think all Brazilian girls w/ American husbands) and they all seen to be very nice! Two of then leave within 7 miles from us! And two have children… I had a pretty good time even thou we lost the game and now are OUT of the WC * no comments*. We ended up staying pretty late and watching the fireworks. Since Tati has moved back to since I feel like I have had a big break because before that everything we did was at our house! Even thou I LOVE having people over and parting at this point in the pregnancy I can use the break!
I feel an incredible pressure and baby is moving like crazy! I was in line at WalMart and the cashier was cracking up watching my belly move around. “I looks like an alien will pop out of there!” she said. –Sure it will!
Baby G 2 needs a name. -He wakes me up at night at least every hour! It really hurts sometimes – I also can tell how bad my clothing has got! Underwear & bras got extremely tight – and I only have a couple of pants that still fits me. I have a feeling this baby is coming soon… My body has really changed the past couple of days.
