“Hey, is there anybody in there?” (Shannon, I’m talking to you!)

It s so hot outside today ~ If I think it’s hot let me tell ya, it really is! Yesterday was the final to American Idol – and I haven’t watched any of it but there was NOTHING on TV. – Taylor, the white hair guy won, and I’m glad he did it!
I haven’t heard from
Shannon in a few days I wonder if everything is ok (Please give a sign if you reading this!!!!)BTW I loved your comment a few posts ago. You are a very special friend to me and I regret that we don’t have a lot of time to spend together… We need to be better at that!

My pelvic pain has gotten worst and I’m going to have it check beginning of next week!
I also need to take my rohgam shot and do my glucose test… but I’m still doing researcher and trying to figure it out if they are really important….

Benjamin has a runny nose - I know why. Last Friday in the playgroup all the moms were talking about how he never gets sick! =oP “Fat Eye” that’s what we called it in Brasil!

I being talking to a old good friend of my again. Old like not that old, someone I missed a bunch and it’s a very nice feeling to be able to talk to her again.

Sunday Sunday... tada ta da da so good to me... ta da - da da daaaa

I had to work today, but it’s okay because I think it’s only one more Sunday…

Dan & Benjamin went to Nicole’s house and later I went to meet with them and we stayed for dinner – She cooked delicious blue cheese burgers. Dan helped Greg with his deck. We haven’t done anything else to ours. If it’s not ready by Memorial Day I’m not having a cookout! It’s always so much people over and it’s hot to be everyone inside!

Benjamin is getting so out of control. Playing like boyish stuff – don’t take it wrong, I like it, but he’s like those boys you see on commercials or movies – always playing dangerous! You can’t take your eyes off of him for a minute and BAM He’ll be doing something scary! He has no fear whatsoever! We were at the YMCA at the swimming pool and here goes Benjamin under the water… he would just walk right into it! No fear! I think it’s good like I said, but still! You think the water in his eyes, ears, nose and mouth would bother him… *NO WAY* Climbing up stuff – that’s old news! He’ll open the fridge door and climb up the shelves at the door to retch for whatever it is that he wants… I would post pictures here if it wasn’t so hard to do it in this blog. But again I don’t feel like paying to blog… so this is what I’ll use.

Now you can check pictures anyways at Yahoo Photos under: “Stampinwithlica”. I update it every… 6 mos?!?! LOL

Gifts from Grandma

Connie came from
Chicago to visit this weekend + her husband, daughter and a friend of her. It’s always nice to have her around. She helped me clean the house and we baked “Esfihas”.

Melissa & Rufino joined us as well on Saturday night. They brought us the things my mom sent – an Easter (Brazilian style) egg for Benjamin that came w/ a watch. A book for me, very good, called “Tune it to yourself”– (Mom I’m done, please send volume II) and a book for Benjamin. The Dog, also from a collection he has, that of course she gave it to him – in Portuguese. Now he has the caterpillar and the dog one… there’s like 6 to the whole collection!

Dan helped Victor put together the play set he got for his backyard… He is so sun tanned - but wait - just in the neck =oP

Playgroup Day

We went to meet with our Brazilian playgroup at Sharon Woods today – it was a lot of fun. We had lunch and then played for probably 5 hours! Benjamin took a 30 minutes nap in the middle of the day, at the park.
I personally like the playground up on Kemper better. You have a nice view of the kids most of the time.
Benjamin felt off in the mud – I had to change him, he was soaked (but of course, having fun!) It’s so nice to see him play with other kids, how he interacts and follows the bigger kids.  Yesterday I had a nice time watching him and Jessie running in circles. Like really playing together!
He needs new shoes bad, his is getting small… they cost so much money – this time I’m going to look for a used pair! I love Robeez but I think the asphalt gets to hot for him during the summer… so I’ll look for Newbies or Stride Rite.

What’s up with the attitude??

Everyone has it! Even Benji has it!

But most of people have a bad one.
I feel like more I try to be good to me and to people more I F** up!

DAMAGE! ~LOL

(This damage thing it’s a long funny story, I’ll tell you if you ask!)

Today is one of those days I could sit under a blanket & sleep all day, watch TV and eventually get up to pee. Even food would not be required. Popcorn would work.

Yesterday we went to the Zoo – Benjamin had a BLAST! Everything, I mean every animal was a “Woof Woof” to him… But it was cool to see how he acknowledges the animal’s presence and how he observes everything. I think the monkey is what got him the most. But again – all the animals did! I’m seriously thinking about getting a pass.
I’m mad at myself because I forgot my camera, but to save the day Daniela took some pictures!

I need to find something cool to wear at this engagement party this weekend. It’s mother’s day and I don’t feel like celebrating! =(
~ I never liked tootsie rolls – but just now I had one, because I was craving some chocolate and didn’t have anything else around and guess what? It was pretty good…

Dan has being working on the deck since Thursday. He only had help on Saturday and today; so things feel like moving now… It’s just too hard to do it by yourself!

I think it’ll look pretty cool and Benjamin will have a place to play that its not against the street (like our driveway) and not the grass! =) I’m so excited! But still think it will be at least another 3 weekends before it gets done… Then he’ll start working on my bathroom – I think! And hope… LOL

I got this e-mail today ~It’s actually pretty funny! I don’t think men’s work (at whatever job they have) is not hard, I’m SURE they have busy stressful days, but I DO agree that they have *NOT* a clue of how hard it’s to be a stay at home mom!

                                                                   THE NEXT SURVIVOR SERIES
Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks.
Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes.
There is no fast food.
Each man must take care of his 3 kids; keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of “pretend” bills with not enough money.
In addition, each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week.
Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time.
Each man must also take each child to a doctor’s appointment, a dentist appointment and a haircut appointment . He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Urgent Care (weekend, evening, on a holiday or right when they’re about to leave for vacation). He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function.
Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside and keeping it presentable at all times.
The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done.
There is only one TV between them, and a remote with dead batteries.
Each father will be required to know all of the words to every stupid song that comes on TV and the name of each and every character on cartoons.
The men must shave their legs, wear makeup daily, which they will apply to themselves either while driving or making three lunches.
Each man will have to make an Indian hut model with six toothpicks, a tortilla and one marker; and get a 4 year old to eat a serving of peas.
Each man must adorn himself with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep their nails polished and eyebrows groomed. The men must try to get through each day without snot, spit-up or barf on their clothing.
During one of the six weeks, the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, back aches, and have extreme, unexplained mood swings but never once complain or slow down from other duties. They must try to explain what a tampon is for when the 6-yr old boy finds it in the purse.
They must attend weekly school meetings, church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting.
He will need to read a book and then pray with the children each night without falling asleep, and then feed them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair each morning by 7:00. They must leave the home with no food on their face or clothes.
A test will be given at the end of the six weeks, and each father will be required to know all of the following information: each child’s birthday, height, weight, shoe size, clothes size and doctor’s name. Also the child’s weight at birth, length, time of birth, and length of labor, each child’s favorite color, middle name, favorite snack, favorite song, favorite drink, favorite toy, biggest fear and what they want to be when they grow up.
They must clean up after their sick children at 2:00 a.m. and then spend the remainder of the day tending to that child and waiting on them hand and foot until they are better.
They must have a loving, age appropriate reply to, “You’re not the boss of me”.
The kids vote them off the island based on performance.  The last man wins only if…he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moment’s notice.
If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years…eventually earning the right to be called Mother!
After you get done laughing, send this to as many females as you think
will get a kick out of it and as many men as you think can handle it.

  HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

The weekend is basically over, and I’m glad

This weekend was a lot of work; the house is destroied! I need to clean Monday!

I being good about taking pictures of Benjamin this last week, I just neet to take time to send it, print it and possibly post it here!

When Benjamin is drawing is too cute to watch!! He does it so well! Holding the pen/pencil the right way and the paper… looks like a preschooler! Same when he reads books. He’ll sit down by himself sometimes and go flipping one page at the time and reading in baby sentences the story to himself! I'm watching closer for his cough... I don't want it to become a cold or something like that. Maybe we'll try to go get adjusted tomorrow. There's just so much to be done tomorrow!

Melissa and Rufino leave to Brazil today and my mo is so anxious to see them. They’ll have fun!

Mara came over last Friday, now that she has the driver’s license nothing will hold her back. And I think it’s pretty good!

I wonder if Dan is taking the day off on Monday to finish the deck… I doubt it! But “…never know”

I need to call or write something to Kelly. Her graduation party was yesterday and I couldn’t go!! Better do this first thing this week; I mean ~ After I clean.

Have I mentioned I have problems too???

Man  I sat here to blog today and I just have no inspiration whatsoever!
I think it’s because my head it’s full of stuff from everything and everyone else but me!

Do you know that Toby Keith’s song “I Wanna Talk About Me”?? That is what I feel like shouting out there! =)
God has given me a pretty good will, if I say so myself, but lately it’s all about everything/everyone else… …but me. Did I just say will? wtf? not sure to explain what I want to say… This is hard! Does that makes sense? will? I guess I want to say like I have patiences and I like to help people during hard times… whatever.

Maybe one day this week we’ll have time to our family! In the mean time this blog it’s the only place I can talk about ME!!!! *ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!!!!! =)*
Still, I love you my friends… don’t get discouraged by this post – if you need anything, please call me!

Funny videoclip, funny lyrics…

Welcome baby #2

I was debating if I should have a baby shower for Baby #2. My friends want to but I don’t think it’s fair to people – because I have everything except diapers & Wipes!  Tehn today I was browsing some sites and I saw this:

“The universal truth is that all babies deserve to be welcomed into the world with a celebration. Whether you call that celebration a baby shower, a blessingway, a welcoming or baby naming, it’s still a celebration of new life!!!”
So… LET’S HAVE A PARTY!!!!
This site had some cool “theme” ideas like:
* Pack party – Bring a pack of diapers and a pack of beer (or your favorite drink)
* “Pass it on” - Used outfit or item you had for your children and would like to give to the new baby.
* Mom time: Brings a gift for mom instead of baby!! Gift certificates to a spa for during pregnancy or after delivery to take care of herself
* Books: Bring a book for the library of the new baby.
* Casserole Party: Bring something to be stored to eat when the new baby arrives, or a rain check on a meal, gift certificates to the local video store or pizza shop. (I like this one the best!
