Just like a flower is Noah !!! & A cool one from Benji!

Like a flower that blooms overnight…

Today - Noah is talking: (in order of understandbility)

Dada
More (and signs!)
Ball
Mama
He signs”thank you” on his own special way, touching his forhead!
Immitates the train “Tchooo tchooo”
And a lion “Grrrrrr” =)

Benjamin

Yeap! Kids say the darnest things! My 2.5 year old things I’m ”as big as the elephant we saw at the zoo mama, with all the manimals !”     -I guess I better start on a diet soon!

He is very active and all over the place, always remember where his toys are, what he and other people own and the cutest latest is that he reads books for us before bed time…
… so today he found a card; a thank you note; somewhere in the house and this is him reading it:

“Its Mikey Mouse and a birthday, you get it… *a pause here* you come you get  bfiday cake

PS (yes - he said P S ) There is a Mickey Mouse standing up. PS the end.
HAHAHAHA
I can’t help myself but laugh! - where did he get that????

Our first (and hopefully only) 911 call

So - every mom at some point called poison control… (we done twice) also every mom got a child that dialed 911 as a mistake - or just out of curiosity.
This week we had out first “ooops” 911 call!

Noah did it - he talked to the dispatcher when I heard something and got the phone from him….they still sended someone to check up on us - my dear!
The interesting part of it to me is that I looked at the phone, on “redial” to see what he dialed and it was 0591111
Isn’t that interesting?

Some funny conversations

Benji: Mom, I want chocolate milk

Me: Hot or Cold?

Benji: Mom… not hot and not cold. I want it warm
….

Benji: Ma, what are you doing?

Me: I’m writing an e-mail.

Benji: An-mail? I see…
….

The shocker: Came home he was watching TV, I asked how he was

“I’m so happy you are home mama, I’m watching Thomas the Blue, Noah is night nights, dad was mad and he said Fuck”

We never cuss in front of him, so it was interesting to see he knew that was something “bad” to do and he was telling on dad. LOL

If that wasn’t enough from now on I can’t watch my shows around him…

I was watching Family Guy and he was playing with trains, kinda far from the great room, did not look like he was paying any attention, then he laughed at something they said at the show, turned to me and said:

“Mom, this is a funny show”

Benjamin knows:
* The ABC’s
* Recognizes numbers x letters
* All shapes and colors

Positivism (not even sure that is actually a word)

A nice big waive of “positivism” hit me this past couple of days, and I like it! (Insert happy funny voice here)

Even the parts that are not working out so great don’t drain me out, so it’s a cool balance.

I being to the Dr., my colesteral & blood preasure are high and that is a big *NOT GOOD* specially for someone in my age. Need to do something about it. I’m heavier then I ever being – even while pregnant I didn’t weight as much as I do right now – the problem is that it does not bother me enough to do something about it.

Now I’ll have to because it’s not just “looks” but we are talking about my health!
This past Tuesday I tried a new med for migraine but it didn’t do much! I was very desapointed! =(

Everyone else is getting sick, everyone but me and the boys! (Urru!!) GTJ!!!

The boys are just sweet loving kids, they are amazing and they make my life full of joy! They are the best gift from God! =)

Kids & Video Games

I never thought Benji would be into playing video games so early. He is always asking to play Monica’s so I opened a Nintendo DS we have here to take to Tia Ro when we go to Brasil and let me tell ya… his boy loves it!

He call “My video game with the crayon”

He doesn’t play more then once or twice a week - I think he is too young for it, but when he does, the little time he spends with it, believe me, he is freaking concentrated on it!

People, oh people...

People surprise me – all the time. I can never know that to aspect. Some for the better, some for the worst…

And those you think you can count on you absolutely can’t when you most need them – and when you are out of options and solutions, someone you never thought about reaches out to you and everything works way better then what we imagined when everything was going down the drains. If that makes any sense…

A very wet Zoo

We made to the zoo today with Kristen and Mike, it’s sounded like a perfect day until we leave the membership office and KABOON – it’s pouring rain!

Very wet, we have a membership and could go back at anytime but Benji was so frustrated with the idea of not visiting the elephants, that was all he talked about for 2 days…. we still managed to show Benji the elephants, the discovery center and a couple train rides.

We headed to Mike’s house to dry and I actually took a nice hot shower and Kirsten cooked us dinner. I tried for the first time “Spaghetti squash” I absolutely enjoyed it.

Dan got a ride there, and we all headed back home together…

FINALY!!!!

The Bengals won a game! 38 x 31 Jets

And Dan made the best sandwiches EVER for tailgating!

TV

Of couse we set goals to limit our tv time this fall/winter, so at first we picked just a couple of show. But wait! We can DVR and watch 3x faster in a quiet environment after the kids are in bed! So that became 5x more shows that we expected! LOL So we are watching:

The Office – Awesome as usual. It’s the best!

Law & Order – Not need to comment.

Kid Nation – I really enjoy this show – so does Dan. Benji even watches it with us… don’t understand much but watches it.

Survivor – Just because we used to enjoy – but to be honest it lost it. This one is full of “beautiful & strong” people and it just feels like set up… people just talk about “the way I play the game” … anyways… it’s just getting old!

Grey’s Anatomy – Even Meredith being as annoying as can be I still enjoy this show.

Private Practice – So far ok. I’m giving it a shot, we’ll see.

Carpoolers – I’m LOVING it! A lots of: “man are the best and yes we(man) are animals, we love sex and woman are dumb” kind of jokes but wait – 2 & ½ Man is like that also and we watch it!!!

2 & ½ Man – The comment is just above…

Desperate Housewife – Not important but I like to watch when I have a chance

So here is at least 5 hours!! FIVE!!! Five!!!! Five hours in front of the TV every week! Way more then I would like to but at least Dan & I do it together cuddling in the couch. I enjoy listening to “Singing Bee” while I cook dinner or do dishes if that is on…

Besides that we don’t watch anything else anyways… so I guess it’s all right.
