Sit back & relax – this will be a long (n blue) post!

Friday after the BS I took Benji, Isaac & Noah to the park. We got some Mds and went out to this pretty cool park in Lebanon, we played, had a nature walk n after that we went to Double Dippy for ice cream and for a “train tour”.

Then that night there was a girl’s night out with the Salty Dawgs girls, in the middle of the gathering I started feeling incredibly sick… Dari rushed with me to the ER, and my blood pressure was high. Diagnose: combination of all the asthma medication I being taking (3 of them and all of them have high blood pressure as a side effect)… It’s all under control now, but of course when the house stars falling down – it comes ALL down at once… so…
While I was at the ER talking to Dan on the phone, his cell fell and broke, we went to Verizon Store on Saturday and in order to get free phones or a good deal we renewed our contracts for another 2 years…

I got the LG ENV – cause I love txt messaging but for talking this phone just SUCKS really bad… I kind of miss my old phone! =oP

Dan & the boys got me this AWESOME digital camera that I wanted for a long time! =)
It’s a semi professional Canon, simple – it’s what we could afford… but It’s waaay more than I expected! It has pretty cool lens and all kinds of features!
I’m SO SO SO SO excited! Now I just need to learn how to use it! =))))


Oh – how come I almost forgot that I got my mother’s day gift early???


I gave it a couple shots... they are ok but I still need to learn how to work the camera, anyways... When Marie's mom passed away she need to empty out her furnished home, and I got a few things...

gente diz aqui nos EUA, qdo vem a chuva vem a tempestade (xi, nao fez sentido em portugues!)…  enquanto o Dan falava comigo no telephone (eu no PS e ele em casa) ele derruba o telephone, rola as escadas (o telephone) e quebrou, eh claro! =)

Eh uma Canon semi proficional (clique aqui para ver a maquina) e eh claro que agora preciso aprender a usar, ne? Eh bem simples, porque nao tinhamos condicoes de comprar nada muito caro e chique, alias aproveitamos a super promocao porque essa camera ta saindo do Mercado (mas tem garantia de 5 anos!, entao nao me preocupei…) mas ADOREI! =)
Muito joia! As ultimas 6 fotos foram tiradas com a camera nova... gostaram do meu sapatinho branco de havaianas?? comprei la em Sampa antes de vir embora... SUPER confortavel! =)

Entao… sexta feira depois que eu me encontrei com o meu grupo de oracao passei no Mac, comprei almoco pras criancas e fomos no park. O Isaque passou a tarde conosco… foi gostoso, formos no park, fizemos uma caminhada pela natureza, os meninos amaram e depois fomos tomar um sorvete e ver os trems… e vimos uma coisa muito estranha…



 Ai na sexta a noite teve um encontro da mulherada la na Leslie e eu passei mal! Nem aproveitei! A Dari correu comigo pro pronto socorro. Era pressao, tava alta, mas ja ta tudo bem - Foi so a combinacao de medicamentos... todos tem como reacao o aumento da pressao... ai ja viu ne?!



E por cima disse tudo so um pequeno incidente... a



Tivemos que ir na loja comprar um novo. Um puro marketing - se vc assina um contrato de dois anos ganha celular de graca ou uma super promocao e eh claro que acabamos assinando ne...

Eu escolhei o ENV da LG so porque eu gosto muito de mandar mensagens... (

E claro que eu nao posso esquecer… viram as fotos no fim do post? Foram tirades com a minha maquina nova! Ganhei adiantado de dia das maes…! =)

Benjamin and Calvin have being playing together much more than usual; Benji talks about him all the time and wants to go play with him all the time…


Last year every time we went to Shelly’s for BS Ben didn’t even want to go in their house… this year it’s different! =)
This morning Shelly called to see if Benji wanted to go over for a couple of hours and play… boy! Never saw Benji getting ready so fast! He waited until was time and kissed me, said “Goodbye mom I’ll go to Calvin’s house now”

And my kid ran away… and never looked back!

I just watched him from our drive way and Shelly was waiting for him outside… (she is like 4 houses away) he said hi and went in to play!

It may not sound that big of a deal for you that reads, but for me! Ohhhh, it made me so happy to see Benjamin growing up and taking those kinds of steps but also – my heart ached just thinking that I don’t have my baby anymore… he is a little guy, full of desires!

E la se foi meu menino….

Nossa visinha aqui tem um menino que eh dois meses mais novo que o Benjamin, o nome dele eh Calvin e esses dois meninos tem brincado muito juntos ultimamente, eles se dao muito bem!

Ano passado qdo eu ia na casa da Shelly (a mae do Calvin) o Benjamin tinha pavor de entrar, chorava, nao queria entrar naquela casa de jeito nenhum (ate fiquei um pouco preocupada!) Mas esse ano as coisas estao diferentes!

Hoje de manha a Shelly ligou perguntando se o Ben podia ir la brincar or umas 2 horinhas… sem pensar muito o Benji se trocou, colocaou sapato e jaqueta e ficou so esperando dar a hora de ir. Qdo eu disse que ele podia ir, ele me deu um beijao e disse “Tchau mae, agora vou la na casa do Calvin” (Em ingles)

E la se foi meu menino… e nem olhou pra tras!
Eu fiquei ali for a olhando ele, porque sao 4 casas pra baixo da nossa, a Shelly e o Calvin estava na porta esperando ele, eu escutei ele falar “oi” e entrou pra brincar! =)

Eu gosto muito de ver o desenvolvimento dele e para voce que le provavelmente isso ano eh um grande acontecimento na vida do Benjamin, mas para mim! Ohhhh, eh um passo beeem grande! E fico muito feliz de ver o amadurecimento dele, mas ao mesmo tempo meu coracao fica apertadinho…. Porque ja nao tenho mais meu bebe, O Benji eh um mocinho ja! Cheio de desejos proprios! =)

When I started my blog I asked Dan if I should do it in Portuguese or English, and he said he preffered in English so he could read it too… but I still have several friends who will stop by and just look at pictures because they can’t read in English!

So… in order to make everyone happy I’ll double post everything, Portuguese & English.

Hes got it right…

I just watched an episode of this show called Eli Stone – and I’m hooked! Totally cool!!!! It’s already the season finally and that is good because I don’t need another show to my list – lol)

* Survivor it’s HILARIUS! Man I never laughed so much watching it as I did this past week!

* Hells Kitchen it’s fired up!

* Carpoolers it’s a pretty funny show…. And the food network it’s on if I have any extra time to sit in front of the screen.

* Lost and Grey’s Anatomy will be back in a couple of weeks! And that is more than enough TV for me!

And last week Dan had the brilliant idea to give Benjamin plain milk (on the sippy cup) – Benji has being only drinking “chocola milk” for about a year now… and you guys guess what??????????

My kid didn’t even realized that there was NO chocolate in his milk!!!!

BLAAAAAAHHHHHH

So he’s being drinking all this sugar/chocolate this WHOLE time for NO need! Just because I’m a bubble head… =oPPPP

So, it’s being a week now that Benjamin drinks a cup of PLAIN milk before bed!

Benji did so nice last night too – and so did Noah, Tim & Katie had invited us for dinner, and they played really well with their 3 boys. It was a perfect weather and we had a very nice time!

B & N also played with Isabella yesterday while Dari & I were “working” on a blog for her – and let me tell ya… that is a story to post about but I’ll leave that to her! =)

I’m excited that 2 of my friends had started blogs this past week…. =) I love catching up and keeping it “updated” – especially from friends that we don’t see very often!

So what we are not by the book????

Man! It sucks to be sick… I’M feeling better though!

* Every time something goes wrong for him you will hear him say: “That wasn’t’ supposed to happen” (From Wubbzy)
* See something funny and will say: “This is some funny shit”
Man! We *SO* need to watch what we say around this kid…
He is also using some cute sentences like:
“Sorry mom, this as all my fault”
“I didn’t mean to do this” (How long until this one flies - lol)

Noah
* Says “Peeuwww” for everything he thinks it looks/smells good, while putting his hands on his nose…
* Imitates Ben, put his hands on the floor – “butt” up and say “GO” and runs like there’s no tomorrow… (I’m just wondering how long before stitches! Uhhhh!) - Funny funny! =P
Here goes another funny one… cute little Noah, goes to the bath, rips a tinny little piece of TP, flushes and claps for himself… over and over again!

Ahh, so cute uh? Yeap – sure!

… until the other day, Dan took a vacation day to help with the bys because I was just miserable and cute little Noah…

Unrolls the whole tp into the toilet, kept on flushing over and over again… (Dan heard but didn’t care much cause he plays like that all the time & I was upstairs)
Long story short:
We had toilet water all over the bathroom, hallways and going down the basement ceiling…

Daily my heart goes out to you......

This morning on BS we read 2 Corinthians 9. The whole chapter touched my heart but in specific this one: “14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.”

It made me want to pray more and more to people – because when I do that is exactly how I feel, that my heart is just going out to them…

And I’ll finish with verse 15, I’ll make it my words: “15 Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”

Someone wrote me today and said: “Your blog is confusing” (you - please no drama because I posted, ok?)

Now I ask: You… yeah – you – do you feel my blog is confusing????

I just want to vent here a lil because this is actually funny to me! I mean – I do NOT want to sound rude/mean at all or anything like that, but I barely have time to seat in front of the computer to blog. I do my best!!!
 I wish I could make it organized and pretty… but oh well!
This is a free site host that let me just write down things that being going on in our lives and I’m satisfied with that. If I need to remember something we did, or last time the kids got sick I can just do a lil search and that is the purpose of it: for me to keep record of things that are important to me!!!

I love that people come by, read about what I think it’s cool, and write me e-mails and we talk about it… I really love it! I love when people leave comments…  but man! If you are gonna criticize AT LEAST give me an idea of what I can do to improve!!!

Benjamin sat in the sofa this evening, held the remote control straight up to the TV and started changing channels, just about a minute later he said:

-         Mom, I can’t find “Golft” (Golf) on TV. Can you find for me?

-         What do you mean Golft ? I asked.

He did a nice simulation of a swing with both arms and said:

-         Like this mom, Golft… that we play!

-         Oooohh!!! You want to watch GOLF on TV?? - pause - Are you sure???? I asked surprised.

He said yes mean while I flipped channels until we found “Golft” and he just sat there for a pretty good amount of time, watching, swinging his arms every once in a while and making personal comments to every play “Oh no, he missed! Did you see that mom?” or “WOW, Nice shot”

So much to sew, so little time…

This turn out to me will turn out to be a very lame post… 

This past week flew by and I had NO extra time. I haven’t sew this much in years – but I’m really into these days. Fixing things is what I being doing but I looking into getting my sewing machine set up downstairs so I can just do bigger projects!

I’m also all about labeling! LOL

I got a label machine and BAAAM! Get too close and you’ll get a label! =) I love to organize and this label machine… man! It’s just part of me (as if that made any sense anyways…)

Last week Marie took us out to lunch the Tin Duck – I was really pleased with my veggie burger – it wasn’t a veggie burger but a portabella mushroom burger – lots of roasted vegetables served with fries and coleslaw. Thanks Marie! =)

I can’t wait to have her for lunch this week; I got to find something I can cook that will turn out ok! She is so good at these things and that intimidates me heheh.

Easter:
Was REALLY nice. We had a good time at Francis house for lunch, she cooked some very yummie food and it was cozy and relaxed. Then we had dinner at Cindy’s – and the kids had an egg hunt – they build a bear to take home and had all kinds of fun….   The only bad thing is that I eat like an elephant. Now I feel sick!

News that I may have mentioned before – I can’t remember but a few weeks back we went to visit with Roma – she had back surgery but seems to be doing well.
Also Priscilla is pregnant!!! =) How exciting! =) Congratis Prica!!! =)

Si Regis gave a nice big bag with hand me downs that will fit both boys, shoes… we are all set until fall, and if that wasn’t a blessing – Angela got me a couple brand new pants an a bunch of hand-me-downs from her as well!!! She looses weight and I win a closet! =) yeahhh!  She has some REALLY cute clothes – I’m loving it!

Benji:

* It’s more into DIESEL then Thomas these days

* Absolutely LOVES fruits, all kinds, any time! His favs are strawberries, clementines, bananas & mangoes. Also is in love with PASTA!

* It’s 100% potty! Uuuuuhhhu! =)

* Made the transition into a Buster seat and it’s just trilled! =) “Mommy, I have a buster seat just like Isaac’s!!!” The first day he got it inside of the house and just sat there… all day long! =oP

* Asks for ‘pao de queijo” daily!!!  (I finally made to Jungle Jims this weekend to get a bunch of mix!
* Using Portuguese often - at least once a day!
 

Noah:
* is not using sign language as much… and also not talking. I’m not sure when to start worrying…
* Will loudly say “Piiiiie Arrg!” and move his arms like pirates every time he sees one

* It’s an extreme good eater – both ways, good on handling silver and good eating variety. After eating anything he’ll rub his own belly and say “yummy”
* Sleeping awesome 12 hours nights!!!
Oh! Totally OT; Did you notice we have music now? And it changes every time you log in or refresh! =)

How cool is that???

We had a Philips surround sound system, maybe a couple of years old. It started malfunctioning but it was still under the warranty – so we called it up just to get it fixed and guess what????

We just got a brand new DVD player/ SS System WAAAAAY cooler and better than our old one, all we had to do it’s pay to ship it back to Philips and they sent us the new one that costs like twice as much as the price we paid originally! It is pretty cool looking, it has an i-Pod dock and all the cool things we did and did not expect!!! =)

I finally got around and got some time to blog. It’s being pretty crazy since I got back from Brasil. Elan was visiting, loads and loads of laundry and a whole lot of bunch of things to catch up with.

My last few days in Brasil I was in Sao Paulo at tia Ro & tio Paulo’s house. They TOTALLY spoiled me! It made much harder to come back home – it’s SO nice to be treated like a princess!
Tia Ro paid for all kinds off little treats, nails, pedicure, wax, all kinds of yummy snacks but my favorite was a 90 minutes full body massage *just AWESOME* – only a few hours before my flight!
Man! Life is good! =)
I know my mom and dad wouldn’t treat me like that if I lived in Brasil, but man! All I being thinking about lately is what can I do to move back! LOL

The flight back home was very smooth! I was so impressed how well the kids did the whole trip! They both slept most of the flight and even I got to have a few minutes of shut eye!
We got back home to all that snow you saw in the pictures a few days ago… It was nice because it melted very fast! So we got to enjoy the snow but also didn’t have it long enough to get sick of it! =)
Anyways, we are REALLY happy to be with daddy again! We all missed him SO bad! =)

Past Saturday Mike went with Dan to take Elan to Clmbs airport and I hanged out with Kristen. I had this major asthma attack – I have NOT had anything like that in YEARS! It was really scary! So this Monday I rushed out to the Doc to get an emergency inhaler (my was expired) and get my lungs working again! Especially if I have any intention of working out… I’ll totally need it!
We suspect it was just a “shock” from the 85 to the 25 degrees change… It may be allergies too and we’ll find that out soon – if it comes again!
I had a lot to drink that night, but I always drink wine and that NEVER bothered me before… I also had eggs and milk… but again; even thou these are very trigging foods they never bothered me before… still – our bodies change… and I’m getting older!

Huge WHOLE in my wallet – the inhaler alone (doe’s NOT have a generic version) costs 70 bucks!!! All the money I made last week doing studies is gone *sniff * sniff* =(

Oh yeah - I alsmot forgot:
